Title: Only in the Holy Spirit
Content Title: Only in the Holy Spirit
Bible: Romans 14:17-18
The kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit "only". Righteousness, peace, and joy are the features of the kingdom of God. When this is with us, our hearts are the kingdom of God. Being recognized as impartial by God is the state of the kingdom of God. Are you sure of salvation? Here is peace. True peace comes only from salvation. (Romans 5:1) "Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." This kind of peace is joy. It is a life full of the joy of salvation. I hope this will be our life.
First: a life of righteousness.
“The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (verse 17). In other words, impartial is God's order. It is right to live according to God's order. It is righteous. Injustice is the destruction of God's order. Order with humans and with nature must be well maintained. However, when these orders are destroyed, a terrible disaster will come. Because this is God's punishment for unrighteousness. (1 Corinthians 13:6) It is said that “love does not delight in iniquity.” If you love someone, you will not do injustice. If you love nature, you will not destroy it.
Second: A life of peace.
“The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (verse 17). The Bible uses 'peace', 'peace', 'peace' and 'peace' in the same sense. The same word 'Eirene' in the Greek was translated into different words depending on the meaning. Peace is the essence of Jesus. Isaiah 9:6 prophesies the coming of Jesus and calls him “the Prince of Peace.” Luke 2:14 says, “Peace on earth among men with whom he is pleased.” The coming of Jesus is peace for all. And Jesus himself often said, "Peace be with you" or "Is it in peace?"
Third: It is a life of joy.
“The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (verse 17). Joy is a gift from God. If there is God, He also gives us joy. The source of joy is Jesus. "Let's live for Jesus, the source of joy," we sing. We live in an age without joy. None of our homes, our workplaces, our future, the North Korean nuclear issue, economic conditions, and politics can bring us joy. But if you have the Holy Spirit, you cannot help but be happy.
