Title: Only My Righteous

Contents

Hebrews 10:37-39 But my righteous one

The Bible tells us clearly. “There is none righteous, not even one” (Romans 3:10) “There is not a righteous man in the world who does good and does not sin” (Ecclesiastes 7:20).

In other words, all people in this world, including me and you, are sinners who are born and live in sin. If Jesus had come into this world to save the righteous who did not sin, not a single person in this world would have been saved.

But fortunately, Jesus said, "I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance" (Luke 5:32).

In other words, if you come to Jesus, repent of your sins, and receive Jesus who came to this earth to save sinners like you, your sins will be forgiven and you will become righteous.

God called those who received Jesus and their sins forgiven as righteous and promised them this blessing. “The righteous will prosper like a green leaf” (Proverbs 11:28) “Blessed are the heads of the righteous. (Proverbs 10:6) “Blessed are the houses of the righteous” (Proverbs 3:33)

“The righteous are saved from trouble” (Proverbs 11:8) “The Lord loves the righteous” (Psalm 146:8) “The righteous will prosper like a palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon” (Psalm 92: 12)

“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their prayers” (1 Peter 3:12) “The supplications of the righteous are very powerful” (James 5:16) “The Lord hears the prayers of the righteous "(Proverbs 15:29) "Blessed are the descendants of the righteous" (Proverbs 20:7) "You make the path of the righteous straight" (Isaiah 26:7)

In Genesis 18, the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because there were no righteous people who believed in God. On the other hand, 'Noah' was a righteous man who believed in God. . (Genesis 6:9)

Also, although Cornelius, a Roman centurion, was not an Israelite, he was a righteous man who feared God, so his family could all be saved and receive the grace of receiving the Holy Spirit.

And how should you and I, who have received Jesus and have our sins forgiven, become righteous in this way? How does God want me and you, who are righteous, to live on this earth?

1. The righteous live by faith.

Today's text says: “But my righteous will live by faith” (Hebrews 10:38).

Many people are afraid of running out of money and fear of losing their jobs, their health and their reputation. Because I think they are that important.

But we believers are most afraid of losing faith. Because to us, faith is more precious than money, more than honor, and more precious.

Even if we lose everything in this world, if we do not lose faith, we can eventually find eternal life, eternal wealth, eternal health, and eternal honor.

Faith is like a generator that creates something out of nothing. Therefore, no matter how great trials come, and no matter how great wealth and glory you enjoy, you must never lose your faith. When we lose faith, we lose everything.

The righteous who believe in God are those who live by faith. Moreover, in order to live in this foreign land, we must have the prayer of faith. No matter how good the environment is and no matter how good health insurance is in this place, you need to have faith to protect your family from disease, and no matter how good the education system here, you need to develop trust in your children in order for them to grow up properly. You must have faith to protect your family from poverty and curses, and you must have faith to overcome various trials and hardships coming from this foreign land.

Moreover, in order to build the kingdom of God while living in this country, you must have faith. And this belief must be based on Jesus, our eternal Rock, and not on our changing circumstances, on people, or on ourselves. We must put our faith in the Almighty God, the God of miracles who raises the dead and calls things that do not exist as if they exist.

The righteous who believe in God are those who see with faith wherever they go and whatever they do, confess by faith, act by faith, and live by fulfilling all things by faith.

Sometimes, living with an unseen belief may seem insecure and unhappy. But keep in mind. It is rather insecure and pitiful to live by relying on visible money, fame, and worldly things.

Because what is visible is easy to be stolen and easily stolen by robbers. But the faith in our hearts is our most precious treasure that thieves and robbers cannot take away. I pray that you will be victorious today with this precious treasure, faith.

2. The righteous must sell seven.

(Proverbs 24:16) says: "For though the righteous shall fall seven times, he will rise again, but the wicked fall by calamity."

In this world, even those who believe in God sometimes face trials and tribulations. Sometimes the pain of illness comes. Sometimes it is difficult because of the material.

And there can be many big and small problems, including family problems. But the Bible clearly says it. "For the righteous may fall seven times, but get up again"

Ladies and gentlemen, no matter how many times you turn your head, it keeps getting up. This is because there is a heavy material inside the Ottugi to keep rising.

Likewise, if Jesus is in me and you, we can keep getting up no matter how much we fall. In other words, the word despair cannot exist for the righteous. The word disappointment is not appropriate.

Take a close look at the Bible. The righteous were not people without tribulation, not people without problems, but people who were able to overcome tribulations and problems because they believed in God, who is greater than troubles and problems, no matter what kind of tribulation and problems come.

Look at Abraham, the father of faith. He went through many hardships while emigrating from his hometown. He suffered from famine and lacked food, his wife was humiliated and deprived of others, his beloved nephew was also taken prisoner of war, and he suffered severe family strife due to the children born at home and the children of later wives.

But he did not give up faith or life because of it. Rather, through tribulation and adversity, he became more dependent on God and grew stronger in his faith.

If you and I are righteous people who truly believe in God, we do not despair when faced with numerous problems coming from living in a foreign country. Rather, we are bold in the face of any problem. Because we are never destroyed by problems.

In this regard, the Bible clearly says: “We are afflicted on every side, but not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; we are persecuted, but not forsaken; we are thrown down, but not destroyed” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

In other words, you and I are the righteous people of the Seven Quarters who rise and rise again when they fall. Therefore, no matter how hard things are in this foreign land, get up again. And go ahead again. Our life spans 70-80 years, but if we rise again and move forward for 100 years at most, heaven is waiting for us. And the crown of victory awaits you and me.

3. The righteous rejoice in the LORD.

(Psalm 64:10) says, "The righteous rejoice in the Lord." That is, the joy of the righteous is not in money. It's not about worldly pleasures or honors.

If the purpose of our belief in God is only for material blessings or for the good in the world, then it is ups and downs. Also, if the purpose of believing is to enjoy the world, it is a corrupted faith. But the joy of our righteous is in God.

The Bible tells us to 'rejoice always' (1 Thessalonians 5:16). If our joy depends on money, when money runs out, our joy disappears in an instant and we become sad.

Also, if our joy is in worldly honor, on the day that honor disappears, our joy disappears and we become unhappy. But because our joy is in God, who never changes, we can rejoice in rain, snow, wind, and cold, in Korea, Canada, and anywhere.

And worship is joyful because our joy is in God. Think about it. If our joy is not in God, worship is a waste of time, a waste of material, and a frustrating time.

But because our joy is in God, we can hear God's voice through worship, we can meet God through worship, and worship becomes more enjoyable.

And even in a busy life, when you set a time to pray, you can get the joy of God through prayer, you can get closer to God through prayer, you can hear God’s voice more clearly through prayer, and you need to pray to know God’s presence. I pray because I can feel it more clearly, that is, because I can meet God through prayer, and because meeting God is the greatest joy and happiness.

And if we enjoy God through worship, prayer, and the Word in this way, God promises to grant our wishes. Regarding this, the Bible says: “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4).

Gentlemen, the world's joy is in the world, but the joy of the righteous who believes in our God is in God. When there is God, there is joy, and when there is God, there is hope and happiness.

And while we enjoy God in this way, we receive blessings from God and the desires of our hearts come true. That is, the privilege of the righteous is to rejoice in the Lord. I am happy because of Jehovah God. I pray that you will enjoy these privileges to the fullest.

Therefore, if you believe in Jesus and become a righteous person, I pray that you will now enjoy God greatly and live a happy life. And I pray that you will live by faith until the end, and become the main character of the Seven Wars.
