Word: Names are very important to people. Because it is called by that name for the rest of its life, it is associated with that person's personality and person, and you can know who he is. Also, the children's names become the parents' lifelong faith, hope, and prayer. God has given us a new name, Saints. And he has a wish for us worthy of his name. “Be ye perfect, even as your Father who is in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:48) Now, we must live true and holy lives so that we do not be ashamed of the name of 'saints'.
There are seven petitions in the Lord's Prayer, the first of which concerns the name of God. “Hallowed be your name” How can God's name be sanctified? It is living by relying on the power of that name. When God revealed Himself, He revealed Himself through His name. 'Immanuel' the God who is always with us (Matt 1:23), 'Elohim' the Almighty God (Genesis 17:1), 'Jehovah' the God who exists in Himself (Exodus 3:14), 'Jehovah Nissi' the God who gives victory (Ex 17:15), 'Jehovah Rapha' (Ex 15:26) The God who heals, 'Jehovah Jireh' is the God who prepares (Genesis 22:14). When we believe in the name of God and pray, we can experience the power of God. “If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it” (John 14:14).
It is to exalt that name. The Hebrew word ‘holy’ means ‘to cherish, to esteem, to exalt’. We can exalt your name with worship in spirit and in truth. And we can exalt that name through a true and great life. In a world full of injustice, lies, greed, and selfishness, when Christians live a beautiful life of sincerity, honesty, service, humility and devotion, God's name is honored.
Are you really a Christian with the new name of ‘saint’? You too must show a life that honors God's name only in any circumstances. Whether in times of joy or sorrow, when we walk along the highways of life, or through the valley of the shadow of death, we must live a life that only glorifies the name of God. be sanctified.”
Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving us the new name of ‘saints’. May your name be exalted by a holy and beautiful life worthy of that name. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
