open eyes

(2 Kings 6:14~17) Hymns: 256,433

There are no insignificant parts of the human body.

Therefore, I pray that all members of Kyungil Church, who are loved by God, are in good health.

Today's Bible tells us that our eyes must be opened. I wish you all bright eyes.

(Matthew 6:22-23) - “The eye is the lamp of the body. Therefore, if your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light; if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.

1. Please have healthy eyes.

(1) The health of the eyes may not be good due to age.

*Isaac's eyes got dark because he was old - It's natural for his eyes to get dark because he's old. But how frustrating must it have been because his eyes were dark and he couldn't tell whether he was the eldest or the younger?

*However, Abraham and Moses were happy people because their eyes did not fade even though they were old.

(2) Some people are blinded by the price of their sins.

*Saul the persecutor was on the way to Damascus - He became blind in the presence of Jesus who appeared as light, and his eyes did not fully recover even after he was healed after repenting.

*Samson also led a debauched life and became blind and lived the rest of his unhappy life.

At least you shouldn't be the ones who suffer from health because of sin.

2. Please heal the eyes of distrust.

The eyes of the flesh are bright, but when those eyes are the eyes of disbelief, it makes people unhappy.

(1) The eyes of unbelief fill a person's heart with vain desires.

*Why did Adam and Eve eat the forbidden fruit? At the moment when we were deceived by the devil and our faith in God grew cold, we were caught up in the vain desire that if we ate the tree of knowledge we would become wise.

*Why did Lot move to Sodom, the land of destruction? - When my relationship with Abraham, the man of faith, deteriorated and distrust grew, I looked up and looked around. I found that I was greedy for the developed and luxurious land of Sodom. - The result was defeat.

The eye of unbelief excites man with vain greed and drives him to destruction.

(2) The eyes of disbelief make people's hearts pessimistic.

* Among those who went to spy out the land of Canaan, 10 of them looked at the land of Canaan with disbelief, and when they saw the land of Canaan, the Canaanites seemed to be afraid, and they themselves were seen as weak. - I did not have the courage to enter the land of Canaan. They could not enter Canaan and died.

* The servant who served as the servant of the prophet Elisha, introduced in the text, was easily pessimistic because of the eyes of disbelief.

(6:15) - “The servant of the man of God got up early and went out and found soldiers, horses and chariots besieging the city, and the servant said to Elisha, “Ah, my lord, what shall we do?”

When I went out early in the morning, I saw the Syrians besieging Israel. Seeing this, the servant became terrified. I was shrouded in despair. It's restless. Worry is Taesan. So report. - At that time, Elisha, the man of faith, comforts him not to be afraid.

Are there times when you too lack confidence in the world because of lack of faith, and are afraid of the environment and hopeless? - Whenever this happens, please pray to God. God will comfort you.

3. May your spiritual eyes be opened.

No matter how bright the eyes of the body are, when they are caught in distrust, they look weak, the other person looks afraid, and the environment looks only hopeless.

However, as long as God opens the eyes of the spirit, everything we see will change.

(6:17) Let's read it together - "And he prayed and said, "O LORD, I pray that he may open his eyes so that he may see." The LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha ”

When the eyes of the spirit are opened, the sight that cannot be seen with the eyes of the flesh begins to be seen.

I could only see the enemy soldiers, horses, and chariots with my physical eyes, but when I looked through the eyes of the spirit that God had opened, I could see the soldiers of God sent by God.

Now the pessimism has turned to optimism. Anxiety has turned into peace. My fear has changed and I have gained confidence. Disappointment turned into hope.

Ladies and gentlemen - I hope that your eyes will not be eyes of disbelief, but of spirit Please see the fantasy. Open your eyes and wish you a happy life.

4. I pray that you will always live with the eyes of faith.

A person who lacks faith lives in unbelief, restores faith through God's grace, and returns to unbelief again after time passes.

But those who truly live by faith can know that they are always living with unchanging bright eyes.

The prophet Elisha is a person who always lives with the eyes of faith open.

Elisha is calm even when a servant comes in and talks about something big is going on. Peaceful.

(6:16) Let's read together - "Answering them, Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." -Amen-

When the unbelieving servant saw the scene, he was afraid, and by the grace of God, his spiritual eyes were opened, and he was relieved after seeing a new scene in a vision.

But the prophet Elisha is a man of faith.

The prophet Elisha believed in God even without seeing a vision. So it was bold.

Only the enemy can be seen with the physical eyes.

When you open your spiritual eyes and see visions, you will see God's help.

However, those who usually live by faith depend on God even if they do not see visions, so they believe in God's help and live. So it's bold.

How are you?

*Are you anxious, anxious, or afraid? - Because you lack faith. Please pray for increased faith. Please pray for the spiritual eyes to be opened.

* When to pray, when to worship
