Title: Oppose Satan / 2 Samuel 23:2
Contents
The order of happiness according to the Bible is that the soul prospers first. When the soul prospers, everything goes well and we become strong. (3 John 1:2) A life that pursues only physical success without being indifferent to spiritual battles is like a drug addict. Saints are champions of faith. In order to become a victor in the spiritual battle, you must first know the object you need to fight and the reality of it. The target of spiritual warfare is Satan. And we need a spiritual strategy to disable their power. The core of the strategy lies in the intimacy of our spiritual relationship with God.
Spiritual warfare is a fight against the devil that cannot be given up.
Satan still roams the earth like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8-9) In Revelation 12:9, Satan is said to be a being who was cast out of heaven and wanders throughout the world to deceive people. Satan exerts his power on man in all evil areas such as idolatry, gambling, drug addiction, shamanism, sexual addiction, anger, murder and violence. They are murderers and liars from the beginning. (John 8:44) Also, they are useless beings who kill, steal, and destroy people (John 10:10), so they must be defeated.
The spiritual battle is not a battle between flesh and blood, but against the evil spirits in heaven (Ephesians 6:12). It is not the outward appearance of the person, but the evil spirit that works in that person's heart.
We rely on the Spirit of Jesus to fight the devil. We must hold onto the promise of the Word and be filled with the Holy Spirit. You must have spiritual discernment so that you can discern the tricks of the evil devil. If you are armed with the Word of God and prayer, you can overcome the power of the devil and be victorious.
Satan can never overcome those who are awake by the grace of the Word. If we see even a small gap, the devil will always focus on that part. For example, money, lust for fame, sexual corruption, etc. The first target of the devil's attack is the saints who are spiritually asleep. So let us all wake up from the deep sleep of faith. Let's rise and move forward in faith.
The cross of Jesus is the power to overcome Satan. By proclaiming “It is finished” on the cross, the power of the devil was broken. The victors of faith gain victory in the spiritual warfare against Satan only through faith. The cross of Jesus is the love and grace of God that fulfills all the demands of God's righteousness and judgment of sin. The only weapon that can overcome Satan and evil spirits is faith in the love and grace of the cross.
According to Revelation 12:10-12, Satan is still accusing people and God day and night. But with the blood of the Lamb, that is, the blood that Jesus shed on the cross and the word of God, we can defeat Satan and have victory. When Satan knew that their last time was near, he went down to the people in great anger. The devil comes to our homes, churches, and children today, deceives them and causes them to fall.
A complete spiritual victory will be completed on the day of the Second Coming of Jesus.
In the end, there are two things. It is the personal end, the day the body dies, and the other is the universal end, the last day of the world. In Mark 13:19-29, Jesus used the parable of the fig tree while talking about the signs that will occur when the end of the world is near. This parable warns us that the end of the universe is very imminent.
As the end draws near, it will be an age of spiritual chaos, the natural order will be disrupted, great disasters will occur, and many false Christs and false prophets will appear (Matthew 24:23-28). It is said that there are many enemies of Christ who deceive people. There are already many heresies and cults in this world with those who call themselves Jesus. Indeed, the end is nearer.
Also, in Matthew 24:6-14, when the time of the end draws near, wars and rumors of riots, wars, famines and earthquakes, tribulations, hatred, stumbles, holding each other and hating each other, false prophets, illegal acts, love He said that this phenomenon of 'cooling down' will occur a lot. But those who endure to the end will be saved (Matthew 24:13).
Satan is an angel's servant who was cast out after rebelling against God. The spirit of Satan is a spirit of delusion and also a spirit of rebellion. If you belong to the devil and rebel against God, you will surely be judged. The church is a community that lives in anticipation of the end times, hopes in the kingdom of God, and always prepares for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Let's become saints who prepare for the day of Jesus' Second Coming.
Those who wait for the second coming of Jesus are those who have hope. The second coming of the Lord is the hope of the saints. It is a day of joy to meet the Lord, the bridegroom. Let's throw away the world's vain foolishness and live while waiting for the good news of the kingdom of God. Let's wake up in faith and prepare for the Second Coming of the Lord. Let's look forward to it. At the end of the day, Jesus will come on a cloud with great power and glory with angels (Matthew 24:30-31). On that day, a glorious reward will be given to us. You will reign with the Lord forever.
But no one knows when the Lord will return. The Korean church, which was spiritually ignorant, suffered tremendous damage several times from the eschatologists. No one knows when Jesus will return. It can only be guessed through the various signs that appear.
Dear brothers and sisters, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against evil spirits in heaven. If you are anointed by the Holy Spirit and rely on God's power to fight, you can overcome Satan. Jesus already overcame the devil on the cross and overcame the power of death through his resurrection.
Where are your wishes heading now? Is it the world or the kingdom of God? Are you awake now as those who hold onto the promises of the Word and are used for the expansion of God's kingdom? If we hold on to God's Word and stay awake spiritually, we can overcome Satan. The time when Jesus, the bridegroom, will come again is not far off. Blessed be the saints who welcome the Lord with joy by preparing the oil of faith. Maranatha! (☞ Come, Lord Jesus)
