Title: Our Church Vision / Numbers 13:25-33
The early church lived by believing in God as father, the church as mother, and believers as brothers. The church is like the mother of us believers.
In Matthew 16, Jesus spoke of the original and original will of the church. “On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it” (Matthew 16:18).
The church is the Lord's own church, established by Jesus Himself with His own blood. Therefore, there is the Lord's fervent affection in the Lord's church, and only Him should be glorified. Also, the Church of the Lord is a church built on the profession of faith. Like Peter, the true church exists in the confession, “The Lord is the Christ, the Son of the living God.” I thank God for the miraculous revival of Calvary Church so far, but what is more important is the future than the past. The vision for our church is as follows.
1. A church where 2.000 adults worship
Why is our church targeting 2.000? Because of our vision.
In order to send more missionaries and train more talented people, the church needs to become a church with more than 2.000 adults.
Therefore, we have planned for a long time and want to build a chapel on the 5th floor that can accommodate 1500 people by connecting the main building and the new building.
2. A church that nurtures a dream tree
The reason megachurches in the history of Christianity failed to exceed the first generation and declined because they did not invest in the next generation.
3. A church that makes disciples of the whole church
Before ascending to heaven, Jesus made one last important request to the eleven disciples.
You must make disciples.
“Go ye and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19) This is the last command that the Lord gave to the disciples after the three years of public ministry. Therefore, a church that neglects this command is not a true church. Disciples in the Bible are not those who receive simple skills and knowledge, but mature Christians and servants of the Lord. But there are still many spiritual babies. In order to become a disciple who understands and follows the heart of the Lord by becoming mature because the time is long.
have to learn
“Come to me, all you who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me” (Matthew 11:28).
Disciples of the Lord must learn the person, precepts, and life of Jesus, and have a passion for learning.
You must be trained.
Training requires pain and sweat, time and sacrifice. Disciples should be trained to pray, read and study the Word.
And we must be trained to love our enemies and preach the gospel.
Only when lay people become powerful disciples can the church become a healthy church and change society.
