Title: Our Lord Knows Everything About Me
Contents Bible: John 13:36-37
There is no time for preparation or opportunity for review in life. You just have to live with the right answer moment by moment. But I don't know what will happen one step ahead or one minute later. Let's find the answer and live in a right relationship with the Lord who knows everything. Peter knew nothing in the text. He knew nothing about zeal, loyalty, and even a desperate oath. But the Lord knew everything and prophesied. A few premises before the main body of today's message ① Our Lord is with me at any time and in any case. Matthew 28:20 ② Psalm 121:1 ③ Psalm 139:7-16 Whether we are good or wrong, our Lord cannot escape. ④ The purpose of this thrifty intervention is to raise me well and take me to heaven. When you raise me to this end
I. The Lord knows everything about me.
① Ephesians 1:3-6, Romans 8:29 You have known me well from before I was born. I was in my mother's womb. But I have no idea. I was predestined to be elected in the blood of Christ before I was born. That our Lord knows well. However, I am not a naturally occurring creature like a wasp insect or a mountain chrysanthemum; And our Lord knows all about the past from birth to this day. Not because of the referee. Forgiveness, I know, for salvation.
② He knows everything about the present. Even though Peter did not know it, the Lord knew everything and prophesied, advised, and warned.
③ He also knows all about my future. Just as you know Peter's future, you know my tomorrow's ups and downs.
④ It is not just the environment. He knows all about the inner state of his personality. you know my thoughts you know what i mean You know my feelings, my emotions, my heart. You know the state of my eternal life.
⑤ I know whether my faith is authentic or not. When you receive grace and say, Lord, Lord, you know the depth. Even when we take an oath of allegiance, the Lord knows the possibility of offerings like Ananias, crimes, mistakes, deviations, and betrayals.
II. Then, how does our all-knowing Lord lead us toward a purpose?
① Respecting the free will of man, who was created in the image and likeness of God, not beasts or machines, first, “I can see what you like, what you think is right and true”, that is, providentially permissive. Human wisdom, knowledge, conscience, will, emotion, heart, our Lord do not ignore. This is the only human ability. Live with this to the best of your ability.
② That free will is not perfect, so it can go wrong. You, our Lord, prevent this by saying, "You can't do that." Clearly, the Lord prevented the error of Peter's way. Specifically, anxiety, fear, confusion, and hesitation when we try to take the wrong path are also preventive interventions from our Lord. While listening to sermons, reading the Bible, during worship, and through what happens to the environment, our Lord prevents my wrong ways. clearly
③ However, if you want to ignore the prevention and keep going as you please, our Lord first leads us to a specific directional providence of “do this.” With enlightenment like the prodigal son, with willpower like Daniel, like Peter who realized after hearing the sound of a cock, sometimes confronted with God’s love, in the thrill of the grace of the cross, with someone’s advice, he directly and indirectly shows and directs the right path to go.
④ Still, if I want to keep going my own way, finally, “I can’t.” God’s omnipotent providence, the providence of determination, forcefully drags him away. That compulsion is sometimes coerced by health, wealth, business, friends, social downfall, and a stinging thorn.
(Concluding remarks) Let's trust, rely on and follow our Lord who knows me well. Let's take a careful look at all aspects of permissiveness, prevention, intention, and omnipotence, and obey them, and let's go to heaven on the right path with the Lord.
