Title: Our Own Share/Romans 12:3

Content Our own share/Romans 12:3

In Greek mythology, there is a beautiful boy named Narcissus. He rejects all love, including the love of Echo, the mountain nymph. As a punishment, he fell in love with his reflection in the pond. Day by day and day by day, he only looked lovingly at himself. Without realizing that he was foolish, and without satisfying his longings. It was a punishment.

You can see people these days. People who live on their own good taste

is. People are encouraged to love themselves, to believe only in themselves, and to say that only they are beautiful, wonderful, intelligent, and powerful. They watch only their own images and close their eyes to the ugly and dirty things that lurk behind them. You will see yourself intoxicated.

The Bible does not emphasize this self-indulgent charity, but rather lets us see the value of ourselves that Christ has established in us. The Bible says: “Do not cherish more thoughts than you ought to think, but think wisely according to the measure of faith that God has given to each one” (12:3).

1. I need a full understanding of myself.

What is ‘thinking wisely’? It is a realistic assessment of who we are. It is acknowledging that you are a person with weaknesses and strengths, beauty and ugliness, wonder and contempt. We should not be too weak to indulge in self-pity, nor to pride ourselves in thinking that we are a little bit good. When you see yourself through your own eyes, you easily fall for this. It is necessary to understand myself through God's eyes. When you see beauty and strength in yourself, you must acknowledge that it is the true self that the Holy God has put in you. When you see your disappointment at times, you must acknowledge that you are a weak country that needs God's help and become infinitely humble. God's Word teaches us who we are, what we look like, and what we need.

The text tells us to think wisely, not to live in narcissism like a person with narcissism.

What is wise thinking? It is the immediate realization of what is given to us to be used in this world. It is necessary to figure out the amount of life. share! - portion We all have our share. If you try to have more than your share, it will lead to greed and lust, and you will feel uncomfortable and unhappy.

The Bible has a proper portion for all, and it is a unique portion given to each of us by God. It takes the measure of faith to find its share. Thinking too much about me is a problem, and underestimating me too much is a big problem. It is saying that I have a share and ability to bear in my life that God created. When it is properly understood and written, it exerts amazing power.

It is only when a person finds a life that has his or her purpose in life, that he can achieve the meaning and happiness of life. The emphasis of the text is on how Christ gives grace to those who believe, so that the saints can live according to the measure given to each person and achieve the purpose of their lives.

So far, the world insists on the principle of life, but now we have to hold on to the point that God's grace and mercy lead us to a new life principle. After believing in Jesus, he became a spiritual man. It must be distinctly different from the way fleshly people lived. The principle of life of a spiritual person is to seek God's will and live.

2. To have more thoughts than to think is to waste one's life.

Paul warns us not to think beyond our thoughts. There are principles of life that must be remembered in the principles of Christian life. It is really important to know the spiritual fraction of a spiritual man who has received God's grace.

If we think of ourselves as possessing gifts that we do not have, then we exaggerate our position and function. And in an endless attempt to catch it, they engage in vain thoughts and vain actions. Then we waste our lives. Living thinking more than we think is wasting our time. If we try to follow the thoughts God has put in us, we will realize the gifts that are worthy of us, and when we acknowledge and live for ourselves, we will not waste time.

Conversely, if we underestimate our gifts, we are refusing to acknowledge God's grace, so we cannot utilize the gifts God has bestowed upon us to sanctify ourselves and for the holiness of others. It is about becoming a self. It is also wasting our lives.

3. Let's find our unique share that God gives us.

Our lives contain the will of God. Through it, God wants to be glorified, and when you use that amount, you can live the happiest life.

We have our share. It is the amount that God has allowed. For some people, their share of interceding for their children until the end as a parent, their share of taking responsibility for their family, their share of God’s permission for God’s work, etc.

When we bear this, the glory of God will be revealed, those who will die will come back to life, those who are discouraged will be comforted, and the movement of life will spread. God will do creative work through us when we take on the spiritual share we have been given. I hope that you will bear the creative power that God gives you.

4. Let us think wisely according to the measure of our faith.

We are told in the text to ‘think wisely’. There must be a humble and serious evaluation of what kind of person each person has become according to God's grace. The standard that leads to such wise thinking is the “measure of faith” that God has given to each person.

Here, faith has a somewhat different meaning from the belief of ‘by faith alone you will be justified’ in the beginning of Romans. “Faith” here refers to the spiritual power God has given to each believer to take on special responsibilities. (It has the same meaning as ‘according to the fountain of faith’ in verse 6.)

The ‘measure of faith’ is the spiritual power given to each person. The measure of faith is the portion given according to the spiritual power. This measure of faith is not limited. The deeper you develop a relationship with God, the more you understand the secret world of heaven, the more your spiritual power will multiply and the amount will change accordingly. The spiritual measure is given according to the spiritual power we receive in our present faith. As we continue to pray, expand our spiritual world and carry out the spiritual mission that comes from it, we will become spiritual people who will enjoy abundant spiritual fruit. This is our true happiness.
