Title: Our Teacher Is Only Christ One!
There are so many teachers out there in this world. From a school teacher who teaches studies to a university professor, the profession of a teacher is diverse. These days, there are academies and teachers that teach contemplation and fortune-telling, so it seems like a good job as a teacher. However, these teachers cannot be said to be human beings because they specialize in teaching only the problem of how humans in the flesh can live a better life in this world. There is only one true teacher of man, Jesus Christ.
Even before Jesus came to the land of Israel and officially began his ministry, the lawyers, scribes, and high priests were proudly respected by the Jews as rabbis. They were obviously serving as teachers even though they could not be true teachers of man. But the reason that they could not be the true teachers of the Jews compared to Jesus was that they spoke only words and never put into action their own words.
The reason they were unable to put their words into action is not because they were lazy, but because they were unable to put even their words into action due to the limitations of humans. In such a case, it would be nice if they looked back on their situation and acted humbly. Instead of being humble, they used their position as rabbi to take advantage of the strict standards of the law without mercilessness when the people did not immediately act on their words or were lazy. was busy condemning them.
Such a scene is very well presented in today's text.
“The scribes and the Pharisees sat in Moses’ seat; therefore, whatever they say, do and keep it, but do not follow what they do. is that it does not want to move it with one finger.”
Looking back now, they are truly wicked people. How can they force people to do things that they can't even do, and they don't even lift a finger? Needless to say, the people would not be able to do it if they couldn't do it. Are they really qualified as rabbis who push people who do not live according to the rules of the law? As a teacher, it is the duty of a teacher to lead the disciples on that path if they want to experience it first and then feel good about it. However, it is not the teachers who force the disciples to do what they cannot do, but the deceivers.
But to what extent do they actually live up to what they say? It would be understandable if they had struggled and said something like, “To live like Jesus or to live according to the Holy Spirit,” even just once, but because they never even tried to live such a life, they shamelessly said those words to the saints without hesitation. it's spitting out Even so, they are respected by the saints all in one body. Even the saints who respect such people as teachers have problems, but what's worse is that they are mistaken for teachers who guide them to heaven, which makes us even more horrified.
Their actions do not stop there. Like the lawyers, scribes, and high priests in those days, even today, pastors give the saints a pint cup because they do not live such a life as Jesus did. If so, what kind of life do they live? Are they really living according to God's will? Thousands of words Their lives are all the more obscene because they are completely veiled. Rather, the lives of ordinary believers cannot be hidden because they are all exposed to the world, but because the lives of pastors are hidden under a thorough veil, their appearance is much more messy. Yet, with their mouths, they still claim to be the servants of the holy Lord, trying to be respected by people. This is the deception of the devil, the father of lies.
In order not to be deceived by this false father, we must have the Spirit of Christ in our hearts and form the image of Christ. Because only Christ can be the absolute teacher of man, sinners born of Adam's descendants must have Christ in their hearts. And if you want to become a teacher of human beings, you cannot teach perfect things even with the gift of the Holy Spirit, so you must be under Christ's control in order to instill perfection in human beings.
Only such people can act as teachers in the place of Christ. And those who have Jesus may call God Father as much as they want, but those who do not have Christ will not answer God no matter how much they call God Father. The reason is that the father of Jesus becomes my father, and on the contrary, without Jesus, God cannot be his father.
