Title: Our Vision/John 13:34-35
Content Our Vision
(John 13:34-35)
Today we are worshiping with our children. But think about it. Fathers and mothers are children of God, and they are also children of God. Of course, grandfathers and grandmothers are also children of God. That's right. Everyone, whoever they are, is a child of God. That's why the famous Pastor Moody said, "God has no grandchildren."
One day, my father came home from work, and the family was just about to pray. Among the family members, only the father did not believe in Jesus yet. The family rejoiced that they had arrived just in time, and begged us to pray together. My father, who could not overcome his earnest sanctification, sat down with him. After the little son prayed, “Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing us to pray together like this,” he asked his father to pray as well. The father stutters and prays as his beloved son is so cutely swarming. “Thank you, brother of God.” Everyone in the family who had been praying with their eyes closed was laughing and there was an uproar. My father said, "If God becomes a father to a son, won't he become an older brother to me?" He asked me to pray for nothing.
I am so happy that we, the children of God, are gathered together for worship today. In the future, I hope that this Sunday, when we worship together, will always be a joyful and joyful day.
However, if anyone believes in Jesus and is saved, he or she will join the community of the church. Because the way to believe in Jesus is through the church. It is not a missions agency, nor is it a Bible study group, but God has prepared for us to grow and mature in our faith through the church.
God doesn't come to me and say, "You don't have to go to the church community. You will be treated specially, so you can live a religious life alone at home through private lessons."
The kingdom of God is a community. It is a country where we live together. The community must live carefully, taking care of each other
It can remain strong without breaking. The Jewish Proverbs asks this question: “Who is the most important person in the world, the wisest person, and the happiest person? To this the book of Proverbs answers: The most important person in the world is the person you are dating. Who is the wisest person? Anyone who wants to meet or learn, the happiest person in the world is someone who loves someone today."
Do you want to be the happiest person in the world?
Look at today's text.
“I give you a new commandment, love one another.” Yes. You can never be happy without loving people. If you don't love people with your heart, no matter how much you have, how smart you are or how much you have, it's useless.
Today, many people say, "I am lonely and lonely," and consider themselves the most pitiful in the world. I cry out that no one loves me and understands me. But the problem is that I'm not opening my heart. If you do not have the heart to love others, you will always feel lonely and lonely.
You have given me a new commandment. It is a commandment to love one another. We need to understand the word “one another” that Jesus spoke of. Each other doesn't mean "between you and me". They point to each other, everyone. All members of our church should love, cherish, and cherish each other. One person can't practice love, and two people can't do it. Everyone must practice love hard.
You can also tell who you should love from the word "each other". Love the wrong church community, and don't love other people. "Love each other..." is to love each other with the people in my community next to you.
The vision of our church is to practice love for each other and become a loving community that is built up by that love.
There are many ways to love. People struggle with all sorts of ideas and investing everything in order to prove/show/prove their love. By doing so, you are trying to steal the other person's heart. To attract others to me, to make my side, to make my person. You must love yourself, not others.
Then how does the community of love practice love? Look at the main text. “Love one another as I have loved you.” Love one another the way Jesus loved us. How did Jesus love us and me? Jesus doesn't struggle to win my heart by using all kinds of methods and popping up. Regardless of the past or present, he insists on using only one method.
Ask Jesus? how much do you love me He said, "I love you this much," and died on the cross just like that. Jesus showed and confirmed that love by the way of the cross. And he taught us to practice love for each other through the method of the cross. To become a community that lives in love with each other through the love of the cross, and to become a church where the love of the cross is practiced, this is the vision given to us.
Then look at the text.
"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" How do you know if someone who has been taught and taught by a famous teacher is really his or not? No matter how well you know theoretically, if you can't practice the master's secrets directly, even if you recite it in words, it's a fake. It's something other people can't believe.
When we live together in the love of Jesus for one another, the world will naturally know that we are disciples of Jesus. This is God's vision for us. It is the vision of our church to make the words "These people really are Jesus' people" come out of the mouths of the world. Isn't it weird? The world doesn't really know Jesus. Even so, if we truly love each other and live a life of true love for each other, the surprising response of acknowledging Jesus from the mouths of those who normally preach to believe in Jesus and do not move even when Jesus says that he loves you, saying, "These people are disciples of Jesus" that will come out. Let me reiterate the vision you have given us. It is to become a community that practices love for each other and is built up by that love. It is to become a community where the love of the cross is practiced.
It is to become a community in which the world lives to tell us that we are disciples of Jesus. We pray that Gangnam Church will welcome a new era with this vision.
