Title: Outstanding Love/Text/5: 9-16

Content Title / Outstanding Love

Text/5:9-16

The outstanding appearance of the bridegroom appears in many ways. This is a realistic depiction of Christ's appearance. Content like this helps us know how we should treat Christ.

1. The Daughters of Jerusalem Appear

You are the most beautiful of all women, what is it that your lover is better than someone else's lover?

The men of the castle were not watchmen, but ordinary women were interested in the groom.

The inhabitants of Jerusalem contributed greatly to the early gospel ministry. They called the bride the most beautiful among women.

This is how outsiders evaluate Christians. This is how the world sees Christ.

You are the most beautiful among women, these are the brides of Christ.

We see some facts in this case

<1>The attitude of looking for the lost groom seriously is an opportunity to awaken others.

Is it to ask us like this or to wake up others?

<2> Let those who do not know Christ come to know Christ through this opportunity

<3> Such an attitude becomes an opportunity to live a new life again

<4> There are many kinds of people in the world

But there are few among them who love Christ.

<5> Believers live with the idea that Christ is the best

Others ask what is better for him, but the bride says he is my lover

<6> Christ is the object of unchanging love for believers

This brief Shulammite event has so much meaning. The relationship between Christ and the believer is so cryptic.

2. There is a Shulammite expression for a loved one

There is a description of the groom

The bride introduces to the women of Jerusalem various facts about her beloved. This is an expression of the bride knowing the groom.

In other words, it is the way believers who know Christ express Christ.

<1> There is a shape of the face

My beloved is white and red, superior to ten thousand people = 10

This seems to hint at the crown the king sometimes wears.

It alludes to the figure of Christ who revealed his majesty on the throne of heaven, and it is like the figure of God's divinity shining on humanity.

It is sometimes translated to mean “everlasting” for all the people who came from this place.

Jerome says that the white appearance signifies his purity and the red signifies his suffering.

<2> has his head

His head is like gold, verse 11

This is the best expression. In the psalms, there is a crown of pure gold. Here, the head is like gold.

<3>he has hair

His hair is thick and fluffy, and he is black like a raven.

expression of youth

When Jesus died at the age of 33, his hair was thick and black as a raven.

Elsewhere Christ saw that the whiteness of his head and fur was like white wool. In the early church, dark hair was seen as a symbol of his humanity and gray hair symbolized his divinity.

<4> has his eyes

Their eyes are like doves by the river, they are washed with salt, and they are set beautifully.

Those eyes are weird

It is the appearance of the bridegroom, kindness and generosity overflowing there through the eyes of a gentle man.

This is a picture of the man who shed tears while Lazarus was in the tomb.

That is the appearance of Christ as if washed with milk.

<5> has his cheeks

Cheeks are like a field of fragrant flowers, like a hill of fragrant grass.

This is a picture of the cheeks of Christ

Yesterday's smile overflows and love is revealed His appearance is like a fragrant flower field and a fragrant hill of grass

<6> has his lips

My lips are like lilies, dripping with myrrh (verse 13).

Graceful words from his mouth Every word that comes out of the mouth of Jesus Christ is full of grace. These are the words of grace that cannot be found anywhere else.

<7> has his hand

His hands are like a golden soother bitten with topaz, and his body is like carved ivory overlaid with sapphire.

It is reminiscent of the ring worn by the king of the East. The ring is expensive and of high quality. This alludes to the work Jesus performed while on earth. He was invisible to our eyes, but he worked with the almighty hand of God.

<8> has his body

The legs are like pillars of stone set on a base of pure gold, Verse 15.

Clean and pure, the body is like Lebanon, and it is pleasing to the eye like cedar (verse 15).

This shows what Jesus looks like as the Son of Man.

Lebanon is the most beautiful mountain in Israel. This means that his image is extremely beautiful.

His figure is as good as a cedar tree

This is also one of the expressions of the groom.

<10> has his mouth

The mouth is very droopy, and the whole body is alive = Verse 16

These are the words that come out of his mouth. Extremely sweet is the word that proceeds out of his mouth. This alludes to the words of Christ that are sweeter than wine.

3. There is an appeal from the woman you love

Women of Jerusalem, this is my beloved and my friend.

Expressions like this reveal the meaning of

<1> It means the individual believer's understanding and gratitude for the love of Christ.

<2> It is an expression of loving the groom more than any other object.

<3> Shows the attitude of welcoming the groom as our groom

<4> Clarify your affiliation

my darling is my friend

<5> suggests unchanging affection

<6> means satisfaction with the groom

<7> There is an attitude to boast of the groom without fear

<8> Christ is the only object of love

The words of Shulammite must be kept in the hearts of believers and must be confessed. These are my beloved and my friend.
