Title: Overcome Evil with Good

February 19th Sunday Day Worship <Overcome Evil with Good> (Romans 12:14-21)
There is a novel called Crime and Punishment. The protagonist of the novel divided human beings into two types and thought that they were ordinary people and superhumans, and thought that it had nothing to do with what kind of sin this superman committed. And he thought he was a superman, and he killed people by cleaning up the garbage in the world that doesn't help. But wouldn't it be the content of sin and punishment that he was also caught up in guilt and could not get out of it for the rest of his life? Even though they are all the same, sometimes they think of themselves as special and condemn others, but in the end, it is you who loses.
There is a movie called Apocalypse from Hell. This is a war movie, where a colonel who fought in the Vietnam War happens to live in Cambodia with many people like a god. This is a movie about our shame, sending a captain to assassinate him, and the process. Everything starts with good, so the war starts saying that we are happy only when we destroy evil, but when it starts, it has no cause and is just a struggle to live. Even recently, the enemy is not a human being once the war begins, although occasionally in Iraq photos of US soldiers insulting the dead Iraqi bodies have been criticized. The highlight of this movie is the scene where the helicopter squadron pours bombs and shoots them as if they were hunting people. This is war. This is the fight. But today's Word tells us to overcome evil with good. How can we overcome evil with good?
When we say overcome evil with good, it is absolute faith in God. With that alone, you can win generously. I could learn this.
Goodness is therefore the word of God and worship. I have seen that only this can conquer the world.
Currently, the ratio of Jews to Arabs is 6:4. So, there are places where the two peoples are intertwined and live together, and there are areas in Gaza and Bethlehem where anyone can enter but Arabs are not allowed to go. However, after about 10 years, the number of Arabs exceeds that of Jews, and serious problems arise from that point on. Isn't there something called Ramadan in the Arabs? I think they are strong because of this behavior rather than population growth. Seeing such things, I think that regardless of what is right or wrong, we too can become strong only when we have the practice of faith and signs. So, I wonder if I should fast for even one meal during this Lent. In any case, there is definitely a strength that we gain from the practice of such beliefs. Faith is the ability and strength to be passed on to others when it is put into practice. This time, I thought that I should fast during Lent because I had nothing to do during the preceding period, so I wanted to pray.
Faith is not just a thought. When it is put into action, it bears fruit. In the midst of this, although I do not know it, when we try to empty ourselves, we live by the grace that fills us with grace and fills us with what you have prepared.
