Title: Overcoming the Crisis of Faith
Contents
Today's text seems to show the punishment of Daniel and his opponents who miraculously survived the power struggle that is often seen. But it shows the world and the power of Satan who are trying to bring down Christians today. Just as a thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, Satan comes to destroy and kill God's people. Therefore, in the age we live in, it is difficult to bring up the story of our faith, and it is easy to be criticized or ridiculed. God's people must take a clear stance, not hide and hide, to overcome these problems. So what attitude do we need?
First, we must renew our devotion to God every day.
Daniel was taken captive to a foreign land at a young age and had to live a life of being forced to do things that had nothing to do with his faith or his will. Even his mother tongue and even his first name could not be called as it is. When the king of Babylon tried to blind their minds and hearts with the king's food and wine, he decided to live a life of devotion to God so that he would not lose the pride and worth of God's people. In the face of the crises and challenges of faith that are constantly approaching us, the only way we can overcome is by devoting ourselves to God. Rather than living as an incompetent person in the world, He wants to become a person who lives proudly in the world while maintaining spiritual pride. It is clear that the future era in which our children will live will be more intense and difficult. It would be the greatest gift to show that you can overcome these times by devoting yourself to God.
Second, prayer is the key to solving problems.
Third, we must hold on to the presence of God.
Finally, Daniel was able to win because he held on to God being with him. He firmly held on to his faith in God even in a situation where even a trace would disappear as food for lions. He was not just trying to get over the crisis, but he was holding on to God, who will help him get through the crisis. From the beginning, they rejected the king's delicacies and wine and held on to God. Daniel's becoming the prime minister in three countries was not his own ability, but the result of God's presence. Just as the mouth of a lion is sealed to those who hold on to God's presence, all the works of nature that overthrow him do not affect him. Joshua 1:5 “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life, for I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not leave you nor forsake you; be strong and courageous.” I ask you to experience the victory of
