Title: Parent and Adoption
Contents
No one can know the circumstances of God except the Spirit of God. It is the same evidence as it is written, "Who knows a man's circumstances except the spirit that is within him? In the same way, no one knows the circumstances of God except the Spirit of God" (1 Corinthians 2:11).
God's circumstances were that he made his only begotten Son belong together in flesh and blood. Therefore, the Bible says, “This is so that they may be comforted in their hearts and united in love, that they may come to the full riches of understanding, to the understanding of Christ, the mystery of God, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2: 2-3) and "...the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy..." (Rev 19:10).
Christ Jesus said to them, “Does a lamp bring it under a horse or under a table? Is it not to be placed on a lampstand? Nothing is hidden except to reveal it, and nothing is hidden except to be revealed” (Mark). 4:21-22) means that it will be revealed in due time.
Concerning Christ, who is the mystery of God, “He inherited a name more beautiful than them by some means superior to the angels. To which of the angels God at some time said, ‘You are my son, and today I have begotten you,’ and again I will become a father to him Did he say he will be my son?” (Hebrews 1:4-5).
Here is what is hidden and hidden in Christ, the mystery of God. That is, there is the real son (you) who is the son of God, and there is the adopted son (he) who becomes the son of God again.
Concerning the children, he testified, “I tell you the Spirit, the Lord said to me, ‘You are my son, and today I have begotten you’ (Psalm 2:7). I will raise up after you the son of Esau and establish his kingdom. He will build a house for my name, and I will establish his kingdom forever. I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will I will punish you with the scourge of life, but I will not take it from him, just as I took my favor from Saul, who was destroyed before you” (2 Samuel 7:12-15).
Therefore, the real Son is Christ, the Son begotten by God before the foundation of the world, and the adopted son is Jesus, who was born of man and became the Son of God. It is written, “Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, and he will become great, and he will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever. and his kingdom will have no end” (Luke 1:31-33).
It is written, “For to us a child is born, and a son is given to us, and government is upon his shoulders, and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. For his government and peace will never cease; he will sit on David's throne, establish his kingdom, and preserve it with justice and righteousness from the beginning of time to eternity, and the zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this. ), “a child is born to us” is the Son of Man, the Son of Man, and “a son has been given to us” is Christ the Son of God. This Son did not come in his own name, but came into the flesh in the name of the Father.
Therefore, as his apostle, "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, was called to be an apostle, and was set apart for the gospel of God, which God promised in advance in the Scriptures concerning his son through the prophets. He was born of the lineage of David according to the spirit of holiness, and was declared the Son of God with power according to the spirit of holiness, our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 1:1-4). He testified of the everlasting gospel that is “acknowledged”.
Also, from the apostle's mouth, "...and he made David king and testified, saying, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, and I will do all my will." He hath raised up a Savior for Israel, who is Jesus” (Acts 13:22-23).
It is written, “But we saw Jesus, whom we had been made lower than the angels for a little while, who suffered death, crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for all. It is fitting that the Lord of their salvation should be perfected through suffering to bring many sons to glory, because of all things and by them” (Hebrews 2:9-10).
Also, “For children are of flesh and blood, and he also belongs to flesh and blood in one form, in order to put away those who have taken over the power of death by death, the devil, and also to release all those who are enslaved by life because of their fear of death. Indeed, not to sustain the angels, but to sustain the offspring of Abraham. Therefore, in all respects, he deserved to be made like his brothers, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make atonement for the sins of the people. And because he himself suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted” (Hebrews 2:14-18).
“And while he was in the flesh he offered up supplications and supplications with loud cries and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. He is the source of eternal salvation to all who obey, and was called by God high priest in the order of Melchizedek” (Hebrews 5:7-10).
“For the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sin. Therefore, when he came into the world, he said, “Sacrifice and offerings thou didst not desire, but a body he prepared for me. He took no pleasure in burnt offerings and sin offerings as a whole. Then I said, "Look, God, I have come to do your will, as it is written about me in the scroll." And he said above, "He has no desire or delight in sacrifices, offerings, whole burnt offerings, and sin offerings." (All these are offerings according to the law) And after that, he said, Behold, I have come to do your will. He abolished the first to establish the second. According to this will, through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all, we has been sanctified” (Hebrews 10:4-10).
Therefore, it is clearly evidenced that “Jesus, after receiving the sour wine, said, It is finished, and bowed his head, and died” (John 19:30), who came to do the will of God.
“It is finished” means “it is finished” with us, who received the Spirit of adoption, not alone as his own child, but because he received him. “Therefore, my brothers, you also were killed to the law through the body of Christ, because to go to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bear fruit for God. When we were in the flesh, the sinful lusts of the law were at work in our members, that we should bear fruit to death. Since we died to the shackles, we have departed from the law; therefore we shall serve with new things in spirit, not with old things of ceremonies” (Romans 7:4-6).
Regarding this, the Bible testifies, “You did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but because you received the Spirit of adoption, we cry, Abba, Father” (Romans 8:15), and “Not only this, but also the firstfruits of us, the Holy Spirit,” (Romans 8:15). Even we, who have received salvation, groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our bodies” (Romans 8:23).
There is only one person who sanctifies, the Christ of God. Therefore, God made his beloved Son, so that he might not be alone, he made him belong to flesh and blood, saying, “To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, because he was not born of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of one They are born of God” (John 1:12-13).
Reception means kissing each other and fellowshipping with each other. As it is written, “Kiss his son, or his wrath, and ye shall perish on the way, because his wrath is swift, blessed are all who trust in the Lord” (Psalm 2:12). Faithful is the God who calls us into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9).
Therefore, only those who kiss the Son and have fellowship with him receive the right to become children of God, and his name will be written in the Lamb's book of life. It is written, “And I ask thee, indeed, a yoke-fellow, help those women who labored with me in the gospel, and also help Clement and my fellow workers with them, whose names are in the book of life” (Philippians 4:4). 3) It is the same as the testimony of God, and it is the same as the words of the revelation that “whoever was not written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:15).
“Those whom God foreknew also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers, and those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called, he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.
What, then, shall we say about this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how can he not with him also gift us all things? Would you mind
Who is able to bring charges against God's elect? It is God who justifies, and who can condemn? It is Christ Jesus who died and was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who makes an intercession for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or threat or sword?
As it is written, For your sake we are put to death all day long, and we are counted as sheep for the slaughter. But in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” (Romans 8:29-37). Amen, thank you Lord.
