Title: Path of Blessing and Curse
Contents Bible Text: Proverbs 11:1-14 Title: Path of Blessing and Curse
Proverbs 11:1-14.
1 A deceitful scale is an abomination to the LORD.
A fair pendulum is pleasing to him. 2 When pride comes, reproach comes, but wisdom is with the humble. 3 The integrity of the upright guides him.
The rebellion of the wicked destroys him. 4 Wealth is useless in the day of wrath, but justice delivers from death. 5 The justice of the perfect makes straight his way.
The wicked will stumble because of his wickedness. 6 The justice of the upright will deliver him, but the wicked will be caught by his wickedness. 7 When the wicked die, their hope ceases, and the hope of iniquity perishes. 8 The righteous will be saved from trouble gains, but the wicked go his own way 9 The wicked with his mouth destroys his neighbour,
The righteous are saved by his knowledge. 10 When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices, but when the wicked perish, they shout for joy. 11 The city prospers because of the blessing of the upright.
They are destroyed by the mouth of the evil one. 12 A man without wisdom despises his neighbor, but a man of understanding is silent. 13 A gossiper divulges secrets.
A faithful person hides such things. 14 Without counsel, the people perish, but with great counsel there is peace.
* In Deuteronomy 30:19-20
19 Today I call heaven and earth to testify against you.
I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse
Choose life so that you and your descendants may live, 20 and love the LORD your God and obey his words.
And trust in him, for he is your life and your longevity.
the LORD will give to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
You will live in the land you swore.
In the way of life, there are the way of life and death, the way of blessing and the way of curse.
1. Economically, there are two paths to success and failure. (One)
The deceiver hates and curses; the upright rejoices and blesses.
2. There are two ways of being honored and shamed. (2)
In verse 2, it says, “When pride comes, then comes shame.” If pride comes, it will fail.
It is said that there is no shame.
Proverbs 16:18 18 Pride is the beginning of destruction, and a haughty heart before falling. James 4:6 Humility is a shortcut to grace.
6 But he gives more grace, therefore he said,
It is said that God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble.
3. In terms of faith, there are two ways of salvation and destruction (5-15)
In verses 5 to 14, the righteous and the wicked, the upright and the special,
The understanding and the foolish, the faithful and the gossipers, the many counselors,
They are classified as those without measure, the former being those who will be saved and the latter being
They are classified as those to be destroyed
You are free to choose whichever one you choose, but you will reap what you sow. (Ga 6:7-9)
