Title: Path of Suffering Path of Victory
Path of Suffering Path of Victory
Text: Psalm 1:1-6
We love to be blessed. When many people ask what kind of person a lucky person is, they say that a person with a lot of money, a person who drives a good car, a person who wears expensive clothes, and a person with a lot of wealth are blessed. However, such a person is not a blessed person, but merely a wealthy person. There are many people who cannot live like a human no matter how much money they have and live in a house like a palace.
Today's text, Psalm 1, talks about the blessed person. First, He says, "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of evil." There are many people today who have succumbed to the schemes of the wicked and are having trouble. Some people say, "I got into trouble because I fell for someone else's trick, so my child is a good child, but it's wrong because I fell for a friend's trick." If you do not fall into the schemes of the wicked, you become a blessed person. When evil people cheat, no matter how useful it may be to me, I must not let it pass.
Second, he said, "I do not stand in the way of sinners." There are many places where we sin when we open our eyes and go out. You must not even look at the place where you sin. Hotels and inns are places of rest for travelers, but rather crime places. Because of this place of crime, families are broken, society is disordered, and various problems are created. The Bible says that there is no one righteous in this world. You must believe in Jesus to receive the forgiveness of sins and become righteous through the blood of Jesus.
Third, he said, "I do not sit in an arrogant seat." The word arrogance means arrogance. It refers to a solitary general who does not know God, does not know parents, children, brothers, and only knows himself. God said that pride is the forerunner of destruction and humility is the forerunner of honor. No matter how much I walk in the counsel of the wicked, I do not stand in the way of sinners, I try not to sit in an arrogant seat. The text tells us to meditate only on the law of the Lord. You must meditate on the Word and enjoy it. All my problems will be solved only with God's help. If you do not stand as a sinner, do not follow the counsel of the wicked, and meditate on the Word of God, you will receive blessings. Those who live in Jesus are like trees planted by streams of water.
At first, a tree planted by a stream or a tree planted on top of a mountain grows the same. But when there is a drought, the trees planted on top of the mountain dry up. However, a tree planted by a stream is green and bears more and more fruit. Likewise, a proud person, like a tree planted on the top of a mountain, dries up, but a person who is lowly like a brook is as fresh as a leaf that never withers. People who believe in Jesus and people who don't believe in Jesus look the same at first, but when difficulties and hardships come, those who believe come to God more and more in prayer and cry out in prayer. As we do this, we grumble and complain, and then we go down the road of destruction.
Therefore, those who believe in Jesus will prosper through suffering and will be victorious because of suffering. As King David said, suffering is good for me. But the wicked never do. It is like chaff in the wind. Even if evil people live with a lot of worldly things, they become chaff, not wheat. Blessed people should be comfortable, content, and happy. No matter how much money you have or how much you have, if you do not have peace, satisfaction, and joy, it is not a blessing. Blessed people need God's help, because no matter how much human effort and effort, things don't go as they please.
A sinner can never enter the class of the righteous, that is, the kingdom of heaven. The path of the righteous is happiness, joy, and blessing because it is the path that God accepts, even if it is the path of hardship now. However, the way to the world without believing in Jesus is a curse, destruction, and destruction. We must not choose the path of perdition, but the path of the righteous who will receive eternal blessings. We must believe in Jesus and receive 100 times the blessings in the world and become eternal people of heaven.
