Title: Patience to Realize Forgiveness (2 Peter 3:9)

Content: Patience to realize forgiveness 2 Peter 3:9

Jesus said that only “those who bear fruit with patience” have a heart like “the good land.” This means that the fruits of faith can only be obtained with perseverance. On the other hand, this patience must be rooted in the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.

Through patience that realizes forgiveness, we want to share grace together by examining the methods of patience and the results of patience.

1. It means patience. 2 Peter 1:4-7 says, “He has thus given us his precious and exceedingly great promise, that through this promise you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Do your best to supply to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.”

1) Patience is a sign of faith. We often cannot help but admire the tenacious vitality of trees and wild grasses. In spite of all the trials of nature, trees and grasses finally bear beautiful fruit. Because in those plants such,

Because it has the vitality to overcome natural conditions. In this miracle of strong vitality lies the virtue of perseverance. The Christian life is also like this. The patience of the saints is a sign of faith in the truth of the gospel,

It occupies the foundation of the virtues of faith. Paul referred to the first virtue of “love” as “long-suffering.” 1 Corinthians 13:4 says, “Love is patient, love is gentle, does not envy, love does not boast, it is not proud.”

James speaks of “endurance” as a condition for the perfection of the person of faith. James 1:4 says, “Perfect your patience, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in anything.” Peter includes “patience” among the virtues of those who share in “the divine nature.” (2 Peter 1:4-6). “Patience” is the fruit of the Holy Spirit that is borne in mature believers.

2) Only those who persevere will receive the fruit of eternal life. Without the perseverance to endure trials, no work can be expected. The ultimate goal of faith is “salvation”. And this “salvation” is a fruit that can only be obtained through perseverance.

Regarding this, Jesus said in Matthew 24:13, “But he who endures to the end will be saved.” And in Luke 21:19, Jesus said, “By your perseverance your souls will be won.” In the time when all plants grow, all kinds of

Just as it bears fruit after overcoming trials, so is “eternal life,” the fruit of faith. Just as a farmer sows seeds and waits for the early rain and the latter rain to harvest, the saints must also mature themselves with patience and make them worthy of the kingdom of God.

Hebrews 10:36 says, “You need patience, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.” He who does not persevere cannot be saved. He who does not persevere cannot win.

He who does not persevere cannot bear fruit. Only those who endure suffering can find the rest of eternal life.

2. It is a method of patience. Romans 12:12 says, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in afflictions, be steadfast in prayer.”

1) Be patient by looking to Christ. Jesus is not a creature, but God the Creator. Such a glorious man took on human form and suffered the sufferings of creation. His suffering is an extreme insult and hardship that is hard for a human being to endure.

The Lord accepted the suffering we deserve as sinners because of our weakness. However, we give up our faith when we encounter some difficulties even though we have not suffered as sinners deserve.

We must become believers who overcome the sufferings of the present, always remembering that the sinless Christ overcame suffering because he loved us.

2) Endure with the comfort of the Holy Spirit. When we wander, not knowing what to do, the Holy Spirit who dwells in us is praying for us with groanings that cannot be uttered. And God is such a petition of the Holy Spirit

Because of this, He gives us grace even though we are sinners. The Holy Spirit not only intercedes for us, but also comforts our wounded souls. Therefore, while we are in trouble,

The reason we can not lose heart is because the comfort of the Holy Spirit is so great. If you look to the Holy Spirit for help whenever you are in trouble, you will find true comfort.

3) Be patient because you have been called. After the resurrection, Jesus prophesied of Peter's suffering and death by telling his beloved disciple Peter that when he was young he would go wherever he wanted, but when he was old, he would be dragged to where he did not want to go.

John 21:18,19 “Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young you girded yourself and went wherever you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your arms, and another will gird you and take you where you do not want to go. Peter.

He pointed out what kind of death would glorify God. So when he had said these words, he said to Peter, “Follow me.” This means that when the disciples follow the teacher's path, they will suffer the hardships that the teacher has suffered.

All the sufferings we face while living our faith are natural things that we must endure as disciples, and we cannot avoid the sufferings of Jesus. Matthew 10:25 says, “It is enough for a disciple to be like his teacher, and a servant like his master.

3. It is the result of patience. James 5:11 says, “Behold, we say, Blessed are those who persevere. You have heard of Job's patience and have seen the end of the Lord, but the Lord is the most merciful and merciful.”

1) Those who endure to the end will be saved. Jesus said that when we meet the calamities of the end times, the saints will be persecuted because of the name of the Lord, but they will win their souls with patience. He also said that those who endure to the end will be saved.

Persecution against a believer seems to destroy or shrink him, but the Lord taught him not to be afraid and to endure to the end. It can be a golden opportunity for us to work when there is hostility towards us.

I hope that you will become saints who glorify God by fulfilling their mission while wisely preserving our faith in the Holy Spirit to the end.

2) It is a victory to be gained through perseverance. God's people should not lose courage and keep their faith no matter how harshly they are persecuted. For the believer, patience is the Lord's instrument for ultimate victory by grace endowed by the power of God.

Only those who persevere and keep their faith can preserve their souls. But even if the saints suffer for the Lord and lose their lives, they will gain eternal life instead of losing their precious life.

In times of tribulation, the saints need patience. Also, through tribulation, you can know a person's true faith.

In times of trouble, we face hatred and persecution from those close to us because of the name of Jesus, but we must overcome difficulties by believing in the God who protects and persevering. Christ is the one who became the model for us by perseverance.

4. Arrange the words. The Lord said that even in the midst of tribulation, not a hair on our head will be damaged. This does not mean that we are not harmed at all, but that the saints are under God's care and protection, even the hairs of their heads. God helps us to cope with hardships in the midst of hardships and guarantees our salvation.

In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that by trusting in God who is able to help in any affliction, you become victorious saints with unyielding loyalty and perseverance, and I pray in the name of the Lord that you will live a blessed life of those who glorify God's name.

Prayer

Very good God the Father!

Heavenly Father, who teaches us patience and demands patience from us!

Let us forgive our neighbor for patience!

Grant us a heart of long-suffering tolerance and perseverance leading to a victorious life every day, so that we may become virtuous Christians to our neighbors! I prayed in the name of Jesus. -Amen-
