Title: Paul's Faith/Romans 1:8-10

Content 3. Paul's Faith (Romans 1:8-10)

. goal

- Be able to state two characteristics of the Apostle Paul's faith in the text.

- I pray that the faith of the Apostle Paul becomes my faith.

God, who has called us to belong to Jesus Christ, sets up many teachers to help us become mature believers. God teaches through the Word and the Holy Spirit, and sometimes through the environment.

But in many cases, God sends people of sincere faith to us as teachers to teach us what kind of believers we should be.

The apostle Paul is a good teacher of faith sent by God.

1. Paul had a “faith of gratitude” who lived in gratitude for all that God had given him.

(Romans 1:8) First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ and for all of you, because your faith is preached in the whole world.

. Paul's faith in gratitude was the starting point and motivation for Jesus Christ.

(I am through Jesus Christ...)

. What Paul gave thanks for was -

- All areas of life were the subject.

- Rather, the altruistic was the object of greater appreciation.

. What am I living in gratitude for?

* Paul's Gratitude

(1 Corinthians 14:18) I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.

(1 Corinthians 15:57) We thank God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

(2 Corinthians 2:14) Thanks be to God, who always triumphs over us in Christ, and through us in every place the scent of knowing Christ

(2 Corinthians 9:15) I thank God for his indescribable gift.

** Advice for a life of gratitude

(Colossians 3:17) And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him

(1 Thessalonians 5:18) In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.

2. What he had hoped for came true while praying all the time.

(Romans 1:9-10) My witness is the God whom I serve with my heart in the gospel of his Son. And always speaking of you in my prayers without ceasing, whatever it may be, may I now find a good way to come to you in the will of God. save me

* Characteristics of Paul's Prayer

- Paul had an earnest wish to meet the members of the Roman Church, and he

I kept praying.

- Paul prayed “always” and “without ceasing” over his prayer topics.

- He prayed that his wish would come true in the will of God.

** How is my prayer life different from that of the Apostle Paul?

- What do you wish to achieve?

(Philippians 2:13) It is God who works in you, giving you hope and action for his good pleasure.

- Are you always praying for that wish to come true?
