Title: Paul's Pride
Contents sermon on the 28th of the month
Paul had a lot to be proud of. The seven great pride (5-6)
① circumcised
②The people of Israel
③The tribe of Benjamin
(4) Hebrews among the Hebrews
⑤ Pharisees
⑥ Persecution of the church for zeal
⑦ The impartiality of the law is impartial
Paul's pride was the greatest boast among ten million people, and it was the great pride that allowed him to be treated like an angel of God.
Verse 7 But there was. Paul's boasting was his pride before knowing Jesus, but not his boasting when he got to know Jesus. Before shoes, sandals were the best, but when shoes came out, it was nothing.
Before electricity, lamps and lanterns were good, but now that electricity is on, they are of no help.
Before cars, trains, and airplanes, horse-drawn carriages were popular. Now, like nothing. When we did not know Jesus, we were proud of Paul. Now, only Jesus is our great pride.
What was beneficial in the past is now detrimental.
In verse 7, it is said that boasting is detrimental and everything is detrimental, because it is regarded as excrement.. It is because the knowledge of Jesus is the noblest. What does Jesus mean? It means salvation (Matthew 1:21).
Jesus Christ means anointed. God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit, 1) to be a prophet, and to give us the knowledge of Jesus, so that we would believe; 2) anointed him as a priest and priest, to save us from our sins 3) to make him king, so that Jesus became King and made us There is no one more precious than Jesus. There was an adjective that Paul always liked to use, the adjective he said in the Lord. Always rejoice in the Lord, obey your parents in the Lord, and there is no condemnation in the Lord.
Anyone who believes and trusts in Jesus is in Him.
① There is no condemnation in the Lord. (Romans 8:1)
② There is impartiality in the Lord. (Phil 3:9)
③ There is salvation in the Lord. (Acts 16:31)
④ There is joy in the Lord. (Phil 4:4)
⑤ There is power in the Lord. (Phil 4:13)
⑥ There is riches in the Lord. (2 Corinthians 8:9)
⑦ In the Lord, all things are prosperous. (Psalm 1:3)
Paul discovered all these things in the Lord and loved it so much that he evangelized the world by revealing the Lord God in his home, in his neighborhood, in the church, and in the whole world. Your servants revealed the Lord God with joy. Like Paul, let us reveal the Lord God to the whole world. So let's evangelize the whole world.
