Title: Paul's Thorne!
Contents
12:1 I boast, though it is useless, that I will speak of the visions and revelations of the Lord.
12:2 I know a man in Christ, who was taken fourteen years ago into the third heaven (whether he was in the body or out of the body I do not know, but God knows)
12:3 I know such a man (whether he was in the body or out of the body I do not know, but God knows)
12:4 He was taken away into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which no man can utter.
12:5 I will boast for such a man, but not for myself except in the weak.
12:6 If I would brag, I would not be a fool, for I tell the truth, but I stop, lest anyone think too much about what I see or hear from me.
12:7 Because the revelations were exceedingly great, so that I would not be overconfident, a thorn was given in my flesh, an angel of Satan, so that I would not be overconfident against me.
12:8 I supplicated the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
12:9 He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, I will rejoice with great joy and boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.
12:10 Therefore, for Christ's sake, I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, privations, persecutions, and afflictions, for when I am weak, then I am strong.
