20010429-11 Psalm Peace and Witness <Luke 24:36-53>
There is such a gospel song. "The Lord who loved me died for me and rose to heaven and became my Lord. When you come, we will live with you in heaven forever..." This is a gospel hymn that praises the risen Lord. However, this is originally a popular song with a tune like "When the wind and rain calms down..." I just changed the lyrics. How about something like this? "The Lord, who carried the Lord away in the old days, when Peter went to row in the blue waters of Galilee, will always come." Then our evangelist taught us about the new generation. "Anyone can receive salvation, but the Lord must choose..." The question is, how much grace is singing this kind of song. It's because the atmosphere doesn't change very often because of the old melodies.
Now my worries and interests are actually resurrection. Strangely, even the disciples who knew and followed Jesus the most did not believe in Jesus' resurrection and did not believe it. So, “The Lord who loved me died for me, rose and ascended to heaven and became my Lord.” If the lyrics are completely changed like this, it will be accepted, but it is confusing because it is confusing. Likewise, I should be a witness to the Lord's resurrection to anyone, but I think it's very similar to not being able to do that. Surely you believe in Jesus, pray, and worship so diligently, but it's really hard and you don't have confidence, especially if you tell them to become a witness and evangelize, aren't they really not following? Life is just overflowing with joy, so it seems like everyone has to say, "Believe in Jesus like me", but it doesn't seem like a real Jesuit. That's why our Jesuit lives seem to have only 'Lord' inserted in the music in the world.
But don't worry too much. We weren't the only ones doing that. Looking at the text, the disciples are also very confused. So what are the first words of the Lord? “Peace be with you.” Actually, the disciples and us today have many similarities. He seems to have followed Jesus particularly hard, but he is not very well trained. He has experience, but he cannot speak loudly with confidence. In the end, he is anxious. Our Lord knows it all. So that's what you're saying. The first thing you need is peace! I hope that you will receive this word as Amen and enjoy the Lord's peace first.
