People's New Promise
main text
10:30-39
Introduction>************************************************ ****
The religious revival movement of the people of Israel, which has been on the rise since the rebuilding of the wall, reaches its climax in this chapter, in which the people renew their covenant and take vows. If you look at the contents, verses 1-27 show the fact that the people confirm their commitment by sealing, verses 28-31 show the fact that the people promise to live a godly life, and verses 32-39 The temple consists of the fact that the people are committed to maintaining the temple sacrifices.
Bon Law>**************************************************** *****
In this chapter, you can finally reconfirm the basic rules of the law, which the people were not able to keep at the time, and you can find that the people's new determination is being emphasized. It is said that the determination has important significance in promoting the purity of Israel. Because the determination to live by the ordinances of the law was the duty and responsibility to pass down pure faith to not only the present generation but also their descendants. We want to learn some lessons from you.
First: To keep the purity of our faith (verse 30). The first oath was that I would never marry the children of a foreigner. The prohibition against foreign marriage was to prevent lewd worship of foreign gods. In other words, it is for the preservation of the purity of faith.
Second: to strictly observe the sabbath (verse 31) The second oath was to strictly observe the sabbath. Even on the sabbath, the Gentiles brought goods and traded, so that the people of Israel's awareness of sabbath observance would be blurred. It was necessary to swear anew this Sabbath commandment, that is, to evangelize the Sabbath spirit.
Third: This is to facilitate the operation of the temple (verse 32). As in verse 32, we wanted to give it to God and use it for all the work of the temple. These were given out of loyalty and love to God. I gave it from my heart.
Conclusion>**************************************************** ****
That's right! We must make a new decision of faith. We must keep the purity of our faith. We must thoroughly observe the Sabbath spirit evangelically. And we must realize the true spirit of giving, keeping in mind that the faithfulness of the members is the foundation of the church. .*
