A person born to be loved (Ephesians 1:3-6) 2001.04.01.
Where does the power to blossom come from?
Sansuyu appeared in a yellow robe, and forsythia came with a yellow handkerchief attached to her chest. The magnolia swells and looks like its white chest will burst. Spring has come. Where have you been in the meantime? Where does the power of the trees all over the world to open and bloom in different colors come from? Today, I would like to offer a worship service of thanks and praise in front of that power. We will try to count the grace of heaven and earth that will come to us at that time, and the will of Him who made us unite with the bond of peace in the world of all good things, which are 'very good in God's sight.
A child asks this question. "Do you know why forsythia is yellow and azaleas are red?" Adults cannot answer such a question. It's hard to say the right answer because it's been a long time since I've eaten the fruit of the forbidden fruit and lost my heart's language. However, the child who asked the question answers by itself like this.
"Forsythia is yellow because it had a yellow dream last night, and azalea is red because it had a red dream". It is a voice from the heart, a word from Eden. from head to chest. If this is repentance, it is probably repentance.
It is said that from the end of the 20th century, an inner space journey that descends from the head to the heart began. From the end of the Second World War, education, counseling, and psychology from intellect to emotion, which began to spread in Western society, and popularization, emotional recovery or spiritual recovery movement took place.
We Christians should advance to the stage of meeting God through emotion and feeling, the first voice of the soul, not the level of knowing God intellectually.
Spring did not come, but winter changed and became spring. Spring will also turn into summer when it is fully ripe and ripe as spring. Of course, this summer cannot be the same as summer. Surely summer will change and become winter. Someone said this. "Sleeping night is winter, working day is summer, eating dinner is autumn, and waking up is spring." We are now in the hour of awakening, in the season of awakening, spring.
how to love
No one is perfect enough to not need love and affection. As we mature from childhood to adulthood, while restraining our desire for physical expressions of love, we increasingly express our desire to receive verbal expressions of love.
Have you ever thought, 'Why were we born into this world?' No one is born to want to be born. I lived because I was born, and I am only living now. No one is born after I have thought and planned for myself that I will be born into this world. And without giving me a choice, we were born to our parents at this time, in this country, into this world. If I resent being born as a child of my parents, my parents have nothing to say. The only answer I can answer is, 'I didn't give birth because I wanted to have you.'
"You have made my account, and you have organized me from my mother's womb. I thank You, for Your creation is wonderful; My soul is well aware of the marvels of Your works" (Psalm 139:13-14)
David admires his existence and praises God while meditating on the marvelous providence and power of God who made him and brought him into being.
Paul Brand said in his book The Mysterious Body, "What surprises us is that the existence of me was born into this world." He said that the birth of a human being is a miracle of miracles and a mystery of mysteries. It is said that one exclamation mark cannot fully express the mystery of human birth. We should marvel and marvel at being born into this world.
Even if we ask our parents that we are born into this world, there is no answer, and even if we ask ourselves, there is no answer. It is God who gave birth to me, so we should ask God. No one in this world asks, 'Why was I born into this world? No one will say, 'Why did I bring you into this world?' Only God, who created me at this time before the foundation of the world, has the answer. Nothing in this world exists on its own. Everything exists only according to the will of the Creator.
Based on these words, I would like to say that I was born to be loved. We can ask ourselves about this. ?쏯o one in this world loves me, and I am living so lonely these days, so I was born to be loved? There may be people who say, 'I don't even know...' and lament the life that has been subjected to all kinds of abuse until now.
How many people are born to be loved in this world? They say that they never went to school to be loved, never went to work to be loved, and married to be loved, but there aren't many loved ones, and they've never met anyone to be loved. But our Lord says: 'I brought you into this world to love you.' Only our Lord can answer that question.
Today's text is verse 4. ?쏦e chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love??(verse 4). It is that God knew me before the foundation of the world, loved me before the foundation of the world, and planned to be born into this world. And it's in the next verse. ?쏦e predestined us to be his sons through Jesus Christ??(verse 5). It means that you have made us children of God. It means that you adopted them so that they could become children of God. God adopted us to love us.
Reason for adopting
But the answer to 'Why did you adopt him?' is found in verse 3. ?쏝lessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places??(verse 3). Parents without children adopt adoption. There are two reasons for adopting an adoption. He adopts all of his possessions to give to his children. Who will take the property when he dies? It is a waste to give to relatives, to brothers, to nephews, so that's why you adopt them. He did not know his name or face at all, but he chose him and adopted him and blessed him. It is also adopting children to love them. No parents are willing to adopt a job.
Our God has adopted us in Christ to bless us and to love us. Therefore, we must have the conviction that we were born to be loved for ourselves.
?쏥od demonstrates his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us??(Romans 5:8).
When a parent gives birth to a child, there is one purpose for the child. Born to be loved. There are no parents who are willing to give birth to their children and get them to work. When you give birth, you give birth to love. Please believe that we were born to be loved by God for the purpose of being born into this world, and that we are still loved.
There is this song. It is a song that touches the heart rather than the tune.
?쏧f I were the sky, I would like to color your face.
I want to dye your cheeks like a child in the reddish evening sunset."
But God has already put His image in our faces and His image in our hearts.
There is a gospel hymn that is very well connected with today's sermon title. We would like our choir to sing praises at this time.
?쏽ou are born to be loved / you are loved in your life.
God's love, which started from the beginning, bears fruit through our meeting
What a joy it is to us / that you exist in this world.
You were born to be loved / You are still loved."
How miserable would I be if God gave us birth to work when He brought us into this world? How negative would our hearts be toward God if we were born to suffer only? If we have the only faith to make God God, we must believe that we were born to love ourselves, then that faith will bring glory to God.
Those born to be loved have boundless joy in their life. If God made you born to love me, how would you confess God as a good person?
There is a famous American opera singer named Hillini Hulbert. One day, while looking out the window on the second floor, the singer happened to hear a story about a child in her house and a neighbor's playing while playing. A neighbor's child said, "My father knows the mayor very well, so we went to play golf with the mayor," and his son, who was listening to the story, said, "My father knows God well. My father is loved by God a lot." it's more Hearing this, Hullburton stood by the window and grabbed the curtain and cried aloud. 'Oh, God loves me.' The son who confessed that his father knew that God was so proud.
What does it mean to know God well? You need to know that God loves you. How happy would it be if God made me born to be loved? Here is mystery and gratitude. This is a miracle among miracles. If we know the plan of loving me before the foundation of the world and the will of God who loved me, we will come to know that our entire lives, both now and in the future, are in God's love. So when you are in the fact that your being is always loved, you have divine pride, you are worthy of living, you feel good, you feel proud, and you can overcome all obstacles in life.
From the moment you receive this kind of love, you will love yourself. If God loves me, then I must love myself. How much anger would it be to offend God if I hated me, who God created to love me. We are born to live once in this world. Therefore, I must cherish and love the days I live. Because God loves me, I must love myself too. Because God accepts me, I must accept myself.
"Beloved, let us love one another. Love is from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God. For God is love" (1 John 4:7-8).
