Title: People of Revival

Contents Today's text seems to be a simple genealogy, but records the genealogy of David, who revealed the mysterious salvation of God. Perez was the son of Judah and Tamar, and was the direct ancestor of Boaz. Five generations from Perez to Nashon lived in Egypt (430 years), and from Salmon to David, five generations are the history from the Exodus to David's death (476 years). This history is by no means accidental, but the history of salvation through Jesus Christ, the work of God. Above all, Ruth, a Gentile (Moabite) woman, is the main character who established the line of faith along with Rahab and Tamar, the prostitutes, who are Canaanite women (Matthew 1:5). According to the Bible, the law stipulated that Moabites were permanently barred from entering the assembly of the Lord (Numbers 23:3). But Ruth, a Moabite woman, became the father of David and the father of Jesus Christ. Let's take a look at God's providence revealed through Naomi and Ruth and what kind of person he uses.

First, God uses those who overcome failure through faith (Failure).

God does not blame failure. He rebukes those who live by failure. God works on those who take failure as an opportunity to meet God and depend on Him. Meet him and listen to him. Ruth, a failure in life, was an unfortunate woman with no hope after her husband died, but she does good to her mother-in-law Naomi and returns to Bethlehem, the land of faith. I knew that leaving God was a sin, failure, suffering, judgment, and death. I realized the limits of human beings. So, Ruth did not look at circumstances or circumstances, but only hoped in God (Hebrews 12:2). Numerous life failures, such as the Sugaseong woman, Mary Magdalene, the Canaanite woman, the blood-league woman, Zacchaeus, and Bartimaeus blind, Naomi, overcame failure and met the Lord and became witnesses of the gospel through a new life of victory.

Second, He uses those who see and interpret with the eyes of faith (Faith).

Ruth treats her mother-in-law Naomi by faith. “Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God” (Ruth 1:15-18). We only confess our beautiful faith to serve Jehovah God. God sees Ruth's faith and predestined Boaz of the house of Judah to establish David's lineage and grant him the blessing of becoming the mother of Israel. Old Naomi, who is a failure in life, gets Obed (a servant of God, a servant) to replace her son Marlon through her daughter-in-law Ruth. This Obed was Jesse's father, and David was born through Jesse. And through the genealogy of David, Jesus Christ, who saved all peoples from their sins, is born. He is truly a man of revival that God uses.

Third, he uses those who fear God and acknowledge him in everything (Fear).

Blessed is the one who fears the Lord (except to be afraid) and greatly delights in his commandments. Those whose descendants are strong on the earth, who are honest with God, and who acknowledge him will be blessed from generation to generation. Wealth and riches are in his house, and eternal life (eternal life) is established by keeping God's justice (Psalm 112:1-3). Therefore, those who put their hope in Jehovah God have eternal praise (rejoicing) through God's help (Psalm 42).

"He said, 'Because he loves me, I will deliver him. If he knows my name, I will exalt him' (Psalm 91:14-16). This person is the person of victory and salvation. Hallelujah!!
