Title: People Who Change the World

Contents

Bible: Romans 9:1~5

Ephesians 2:10 clearly states, “God made us to do good works.” So, in 2007, “How do we live good in order to live good? Let's think about what to do.

The Apostle Paul confesses in Romans 9:1-5 that his people are in indescribable suffering because they do not believe in Jesus. In fact, the people of Israel were chosen as God's chosen people, and now they are the biggest obstacle to accepting the gospel. So Paul preached the gospel diligently with such a painful heart as to how his people should believe in Jesus. In the end, Paul felt that I was preaching the gospel to the Gentiles, and the Gentiles believed in Jesus and were blessed and their own people saw that it was going well. He preached diligently, so we can see that Asia, Europe, and Africa were evangelized through the efforts of the Apostle Paul as we know them.

It was because of this painful heart that the world was changed with the Gospel. We can never change the world unless we also have a heart of pain. With a heart of sorrow for all of us, a heart that says, 'My family should believe in Jesus', this kind of heart changes the world.

What motivated King David to build the temple? Because of God's blessing and grace, he is living comfortably in a cedar palace, but one day he finds out that the ark is in a tent. My heart started hurting. “I am at peace with God’s grace, so why is the ark of God in the tent?” So I told Nathan the prophet I would build a temple, and in the end, David and Solomon built the temple.

Ladies and gentlemen, the most important thing in changing the world is a heart that hurts. Philippians 2:5-8, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider equality with God to be robbery, humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. The reason why our Jesus came to this earth is because He suffered as He saw us dying because of our sins. 'Humanity should not die like this. You must not be destroyed like this.’ He came to this earth with such a heart of pain and died on the cross with that heart.

Do you want to live 2007 for good and change the world for good? Then, needless to say, you must have a heart of pain. But the heartache is never a huge thing. For new believers, even if I walk a little, I park my car in the elementary school playground instead of the church parking lot. This kind of consideration for others is a painful heart.

The truth is, it is not difficult for us to bear a heart that is in pain. Why is it difficult? Because the world is too busy to afford. So, in order to have a heart that is aching, we need to take a look at our heart first. I need to take a look at how much my heart is living my life with consideration for others.

The truth our Lord is saying is, “If you believe in Jesus Christ, think of the things of the earth, and the things of heaven. We believe that when our hearts turn to God, we will have a heart of pain and will change into people who do good things and change the world.

The second important thing is that in order to have a heart of pain, we must repent. “God, I was too focused on my work. I was thankful for God's grace, but I focused on my work. I was so preoccupied with my things, my purpose, my family, and my ego. So I became an egoist, a selfish person. Forgive me." This repentance is necessary. If I change my mind, I will live and others will live too.

Everyone, you must live a good life in 2007. Do you have to live a life that you only have once? Please pray for a good life. “God, I want to live a good life. Please help me to get rid of my selfish heart and to think of God and to be considerate of my neighbors.” Please pray that you will protect me so that those who are weak in faith will not be hurt because of me, and that my neighbors will not be hurt because of me. In order to live a good life according to God's will, I hope you will live a life that changes the world by living a good life, looking after yourself, repenting, devoting yourself, and praying.
