Title: People who fight for two lives
Contents
The battle between the two lives is called the “good fight” in the Bible. This is a battle where “death is swallowed up in victory” and “in darkness there will be light”.
A person without these two lives is without hope. This is a battle of faith that leads to the salvation of souls, and only after this battle is over will the crown of life be crowned.
This fight is a battle that started from the beginning. In battle, the strong wins over the weak. But a good fight is a battle in which the weak overcome the strong.
In an evil fight, the strong overcome the weak, but in a good fight, the weak overcome the strong. The one who was appointed to be the judge of this battle is the Lord Jesus Christ, who first fought and won this battle. He is the one who said, “I have overcome the world.”
For those who are determined to receive eternal life, there must be a battle between the strong and the weak within them. There are those who are born of the flesh and those who are born of the Spirit, and this battle continues day and night without stopping.
A person born of the flesh is a life born 14 years earlier from a strong slave girl, so a person born by promise is strong and strong. A person born by promise is a life born 14 years later from a woman who is weak and free. It is an impossible life.
It is like the saying, “I see another law in my members wrestling with the law of my heart, bringing me captive to the law of sin that is in my members.”
However, in this good fight, the spirit of the one who overcomes first is with us, so we will eventually be victorious. This Spirit is the Spirit of Heavenly Father. Therefore, it is the same as saying, “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
I don't want my flesh to win. I really want my spirit to win. But if I am not awake, I always see my flesh overcoming my spirit and bringing me back under the law of sin. It is like saying, “O wretched man I am! who will deliver me from this body of death?”
But the end of this good fight was clearly shown through the Lord Jesus. Therefore, the life of Jesus will surely be revealed only to those who carry in their bodies the death of Jesus.
Even if my weak inner man is defeated seven times by my strong outer man, the inner man will surely rise again. It is the same as saying, “Do not rejoice over me, my adversary; though I fall, I will rise up; though I sit in darkness, the Lord is my light.”
It will also be said, “For though the righteous shall fall seven times, he will rise again, but the wicked fall by calamity.”
Sometimes it seems that the outward man who is born of the flesh wins, but in the end, the man who is born of the Spirit will surely win. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; from now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day, and not only to me, but to all who have longed for his appearing. It is the same as saying, “You are.”
Therefore, the cheerleader said, “But in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” He also said, “Because he suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.”
“The same God who said, ‘Light will shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. We have this treasure in earthen vessels, for the exceeding greatness of power belongs to God, and to us We are afflicted on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; overthrown, but not destroyed; we always carry in our bodies the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus might also be revealed in our bodies.” Amen, thank you Lord.
