Title: Someone you like
In the world, it can be really hard to find someone who fits your heart.
If this aspect is good, that aspect is sad, if the other side is weak, that aspect is good, and each person is a little sad.
A person who will become a husband must agree with his wife, a person who will become a wife must like his husband, and to get a job in a company, he must like the person in charge of that company.
1. Whose heart should we like today? (God, saints)
It is because God chooses them, and also the saints.
How great it would be if we could get to know such a person soon!!!
Even if you know the open road under the water, you can't understand the heart of a single road... Then what should we do? So, let's look at the Bible and look for the help of the Holy Spirit.
In other words, let's see from God's side.
“Everyone had different standards of seeing, and seeing differently” (1 Samuel 16:6-7)
The person who looks at the height, the person who sees the material, the person who sees the faith, the job, the person, the family...
What should we Christians look for first?
Samuel in the text is a very faithful prophet, priest, and politician.
Still, he has hired quite a few people, but he almost made a big mistake.
2. What does God see?
Samuel looks at his appearance. (Appearance, height, external appearance, family, workplace...)
But what about God??? He sees the center. ( Faith, Honesty, Passionate Faith)
(1) Why did David meet God's heart?
David's name is mentioned 800 times in the Old Testament and 60 times in the New Testament.
Those who seek to know the heart of God, those who seek to please God,
Those who serve unchangingly, those who will remain loyal...
(2) What was the point of David that was so pleasing to God? (1 Samuel 16:12)
① His light is red ('Red light' means the color of his hair is red.)
In the Middle and Near East, where most of them have black hair, this red hair was rare, and was a condition of beauty in that area.
② His eyes are outstanding (it is that he is beautiful and his eyes are sparkling).
This word refers to beautiful eyes with guns.
③ A beautiful face does not mean just the external beauty, it means the beauty that emanates from the inside.
⑶ What was the point of David that was so pleasing to God?
Samuel, who saw and experienced the first king of Israel, Saul, compared David with Saul.
Saul was humble at first, but later he was proud, while David was humble.
Saul was a person who set up a merit for himself, but David was a man who sought the glory of God
Saul forgot grace, but David was a man who longed for God's grace to the end and held on to it.
Saul is a selfish man while David is a servant
Saul was offended when he pointed out a mistake, but David was a man who thoroughly looked back and repented
