Title: People whom Jesus loved / Mark 10:16
Today is Children's Day. So the pastor preaches to the children. Listen carefully to whether the pastor is good at preaching or not. Do you know what kind of people Jesus liked and loved?
First, he loved the sick and loved them. The ancient Romans and Israelites hated the sick. They even threw the sick into mountains or caves. But Jesus loved and loved all the sick, including the lepers, the blind, the deaf, and the paralytic. Saint Francis also loved and loved the sick.
Second, he loved the poor and loved them. The ancient Romans and Israelites only liked the rich and hated the poor. But Jesus liked and loved the poor, such as Bartimaeus the beggar and Lazarus the beggar. St. Francis loved and loved the poor too.
Third, he liked and loved people from other countries. The ancient Romans and Israelites only liked their own people and hated the people of other countries. But Jesus liked and loved the Gentiles, including the Syrophonic woman and the Roman centurion. St. Francis also loved and loved people from other countries, including Muslims.
Fourth, he liked and loved women. The ancient Romans and the Israelites ignored and hated women. However, Jesus cherished and loved women such as Mary Magdalene and Mary of Bethany. Saint Francis also valued and loved women. So they also built a monastery for women.
He loved and loved the fifth children. The ancient Romans and Israelites ignored, hated, and annoyed children. But Jesus valued and loved children very much. He hugged me, laid my hands on me, and blessed me. Saint Francis also valued and loved children.
Sixth, he loved and loved birds, flowers, trees, and nature. The ancient Romans and Israelites did not value birds, flowers, trees, and nature. But Jesus valued and loved birds, flowers, trees, and nature. St. Francis also cherished and loved birds, flowers, trees, and nature.
He loved and loved the seventh sinner. In ancient times, the Romans and the Israelites killed those who sinned by throwing them at the lions and stoning them to death. But Jesus had compassion on those who sinned and loved them. St. Francis also had pity and love for even violent sinners and heretics. Jesus liked and loved seven kinds of people. He loved the first sick, second the poor, third people from other countries, fourth women, fifth children, sixth birds, flowers and nature, seventh sinners. I hope that you too will be good people who like and love the seven people.
