Title: People Without Christmas / Luke 3:1-7

Content: People without Christmas / Luke 3:1-7

For those of us who know Jesus Christ, Christmas is the great historical fact that God Himself took on a physical body, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and became incarnate (Incamatio, Inacmation), and the supreme God Himself came into human history. It is a day in which we give thanks and glorify the birth of the baby Jesus. However, Christmas is cluttered with the many complicated, busy, or trivial things happening in the world, and most people do not spend this precious and happy Christmas properly. Therefore, ahead of the last Christmas of the century, I testify through the Word of people who did not know the grace and joy of Christmas at the time when Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Judea, so that we cannot become such people today. I will testify that it shouldn't, and I will prove what the true Christmas means.

1. The innkeeper. (Luke 2:7)

The owner of this inn was a man who was blind only to riches. He was a man who didn't even notice a woman in full term. There was no sympathy. It was heartless. I was just focused on making money, and I was just busy. You have lost the opportunity to do good. He could not welcome Jesus who had come now. Even today, there are many like the innkeepers. Their soul chamber is full of insignificant human riches and trifles. The room of their thoughts is filled with the cares and worries of the world, and they are filled with only thoughts of making money, so there is no room for Christ to enter.

2. King Herod. (Matthew 2:1-3)

At the time of Jesus' birth, the tetrarch of Judea was Herod. He was a politician looking for his glory, his greatness and his throne. He doubted everyone, and in the end killed everyone who doubted him better than him. What was the cause? I couldn't celebrate Christmas because of jealous fear. He feared that someone else would take over his throne. This power-hungry and jealous man unfortunately did not receive the Lord, although the Lord, the Prince of Peace, came to his country during his reign. What about people today? They are anxious and anxious about losing their decisions and plans, their important work, their values and morals. That is, they do not want to come out with an open heart to Christ, for fear of being bound in their ways.

3. The chief priests and scribes. (Matthew 2:4)

The High Priests at that time were theological intellectuals. They were in charge of the administration of the temple, and they were the foremost of the priests, chosen by the rule of having the highest administrative, educational, and leadership skills. These were all people who knew the Bible well. Also, the Secretaries were linguists, Bible interpreters, and people familiar with all the cultures and history related to the material of the Bible. These two types of people found the exact place where the Messiah would be born in response to the questions of the wise men from the East. They wouldn't even go and check if the baby was really the Messiah. What was the cause? The chief priests and scribes did not celebrate Christmas because of the complacency and indifference brought about by the pride of knowledge. They knew that the Messiah would be born, but did not seek it because they were full of pride and self-esteem. And it was cold.

<Conclusion>

There are many reasons why people don't celebrate Christmas properly. Such reasons include the innkeeper who lost Christmas because he failed to show sympathy to a full-term woman in the world's money-making fun, or King Herod, who tried to kill the Messianic Peace King who came to his land out of jealousy to maintain world power. People, the pride and apathy that come with knowledge, and the high priests and scribes who indulge in religious rituals or self-righteousness, have become people who have lost Christmas and are without Christmas. But beyond all these reasons, there is one more fundamental cause, which, in a word, was mistrust. People didn't want to believe it. But he said, "To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." If you haven't really spent Christmas, welcome Christ coming to me. And let it be a Christmas that believes in His coming to save the world from sin. This Christmas, I believe that the reality of true salvation will be realized in your life.
