(1) The Lord rebuked the Israelites (15)
① The people I love have committed atrocities (15)
a. renunciation of chastity and fidelity b. living a lewd life
② Even so, there is a misconception that if you make a lot of sacrifices, you can prevent the coming disaster (15)
(2) Israel is a corrupted olive tree (16)
① It was once a persimmon tree that boasted lush green leaves and produced many good fruits (16).
②It is now a corrupted olive tree (16)
(3) The Lord decided to destroy Judah (17)
① The people of Judah offered sacrifices to Baal to break my heart (17)
②Therefore, it is the natural fruit of your actions to be punished and destroyed (17)
③You must know clearly that I am destroying you because you have stirred up my wrath by serving Baal (17).
2. The people of Israel who commit greater sins without repenting of their sins

① ‘Let’s cut the tree while it’s fresh, let’s get it out of the human world’, I didn’t know (19)
② He threatened to ‘do not prophesy in the name of the Lord, lest you die’ (21)
(2) The Lord made this known
① No matter how deep a person’s secrets and secret wishes may be, the Lord knows them all (20)
② Not only that, the Lord judges righteously (20)
(3) God reveals punishment once again
①According to their actions, we will hold them accountable and take revenge(22) ② ②On the day of punishment with a terrible disaster, no one will survive(23) Ⅲ.Concluding remarks
1. God was greatly disappointed that his beloved people had committed heinous sins.
2. He designed punishment to make them realize their error,
3. Rather, they plotted to kill the prophet who preached this fact.
4. Once again, you are disappointing God.
(Jeremiah 11:15) After my wife has been playing dirty, what are you going to do with me? Giving voluntary offerings and eating meat doesn't mean you'll be freed from your sins, and it doesn't mean you're not guilty.
(Jeremiah 11:16) I once called you, “a green and fresh olive tree,” but now I will bring down thunderbolts, devouring your leaves and breaking your branches.
(Jer 11:17) I, the LORD of hosts, who planted the house of Israel and the house of Judah like a tree, now declares calamity. You rotted my insides by doing something like burning incense to Baal, and you've come to this kind of wretchedness.
(Jeremiah 11:20) “O LORD Almighty, righteous Judge who weighs the belly and the heart! appeal to God. Take revenge on this people. I will have to see it with my own eyes.”
(Jeremiah 11:21) “Are the people of Anathoth telling you not to prophesy by the name of the Lord, lest you die by their hand? And are you looking for your life? Then I, the Lord, declare this:
(Jeremiah 11:22) Now I will punish them like this. The elders will be killed by the sword, sons and daughters will die of starvation.
(Jeremiah 11:23) No one will survive the day I bring disaster on the people of Anathoth.
