Title: Peter's Experiential Faith (Luke 05:1-11)
Content Our relationship with God is that of absolute faith (Hebrews 11:6). We receive salvation from sin and death through faith in Jesus, receive the Holy Spirit through faith, receive answers to prayers through faith, receive healing, and participate in the three-way salvation through faith. But God gave everyone the strength to believe. However, there are people who have weak faith, there are people who have hard faith, and there are people who have strong faith. Let us examine the stages of the development of faith through Peter's experience of faith.
1. Peter of weak faith (fact explanation)1) Obedience to the Lord's word in face of him (Luke 5:5) 2) He did not expect miracles to happen (Luke 5:8) 3) A major change occurred in his life Luke 5:11)
2. Faith that strives to believe (Matt. 14:22-33)-Experience of walking on water The Lord called faith that struggles to believe as little faith.1) Have faith in anticipation of miracles (Matt. 14:27-28) ) 2) The struggle between faith and circumstance (Matthew 14:29-30) - Effort 3) A state of coexistence of faith and doubt
3. Strong faith (Acts 9:1-10)1) Belief in miracles 2) Not afraid of circumstances (became crippled from birth) 3) Bold practice
4. The way to strong faith1) Know that the Word is an inexhaustible resource (1) Peter did not venture without the Word.
(2) Receive the rhema of the Word.
2) Receive the filling of the Holy Spirit (1) Peter before receiving the Holy Spirit: Weak faith, little faith (2) Peter after receiving the Holy Spirit: Strong faith 3) Expect miracles to happen.
(1) Weak faith does not expect miracles (2) Little faith expects but doubts (3) Strong faith naturally expects it 4) Practice: You have received the answer from your heart, so you must practice it.
(Conclusion): The Lord wants all of us to undergo refinement and become possessors of strong faith. Strong faith is not built overnight. But, like Peter, do not become discouraged and, after steadfast pursuit, you can reach strong faith.
