Title: Peter's Second Sermon (Acts 3:11-26)

Contents

Peter's second sermon (Acts 3:11-26)

1. body structure

Verses 11-16 explain Peter's healing miracles

Verses 17-26 Peter's counsel.

→ When Peter saw the people astonished by the miracle, he seized it as a moment of witness and testified of the word.

Indeed, Peter is a man full of the Holy Spirit and shows the right side of a witness.

2. Sharing the Word

1) The first part of Peter's sermon clearly testifies that the lame man was completely healed by believing in the name of Jesus.

In addition, his (Peter) spiritual condition may be fully possible.

① Why are you paying attention to us? It tells us not to marvel. (Verse 12)

② In doing so, he is glorifying Jesus, the servant of God (verse 13).

It is declared that his name has made him holy (verse 16).

③ It refers to Israel's actions toward Jesus (verses 13b~15, 17).

→ You delivered Jesus (verse 13b).

→ You have denied that Pilate decided to let him go (verse 13c).

→ You killed the Lord of life by asking for the release of the murderer (verses 14-15).

④ But God raised this Jesus from the dead (verse 15b).

⑤ By believing in his name, his name (power) completely healed this man (verse 16).

2) Peter speaks of the people of Israel's faults, and also suggests the way of forgiveness.

In fact, if there is only condemnation, the covenant/law remains.

① It was because you did not know (verse 17).

② This was foreordained (verse 18).

③ Therefore, repent and turn around so that your sins may be blotted out.

Then the 'day of rejoicing' will come from before the Lord (verse 19).

④ He will send Jesus who was predestined for you (verse 20) - 'The Second Coming'

→ Correlation between verse 19 (conversion) and verse 20 (the Second Coming): Conversion will haveten the Second Coming.

→ That Jesus will remain in heaven until 'the restoration of all things' (another expression of the Second Coming) (verse 21).

; The expressions of the words are very colorful and interesting.
