Peter Denies Jesus (Matthew 26:69-75)
Peter was a zealous disciple among the Lord's disciples, who boasted that even when Jesus prophesied the disciples' betrayal, he alone would not forsake the Lord. He not only denied Jesus, but also cursed Him. Let's take a look at the lessons we believers need to know through Peter, who denied Jesus.
① We are weak (Romans 5:6)-Even though we have greater abilities and more diligence than others, we are only human beings with weak bodies. Therefore, if we rely only on our own strength and do not rely on the Lord of victory and the Holy Spirit to help, we are weak and we are bound to fall again at any time.
② If we do not have confidence in our hope, we will fall (Romans 8:24,25)-We will face persecution and tribulation for the sake of the gospel, but we endure through persecution because we are convinced of the hope for the kingdom of heaven that will be given to us. Therefore, if we do not have hope and confidence in Heaven, we will have no choice but to stumble in the countless hardships we will experience while living in this world.
Did you fall for the weakness of the flesh while going to the Lord? Then, come before the Lord as you are in your weakness. Then the Lord of Victory will lead you in your weakness and lead you to a victorious life.
