Pharaoh's Choice (Exodus 8:1-15)
Not long ago, foreign substances came out of shrimp crackers, knives came out of tuna cans, and foreign substances were also found in beef, cheese and beer. The authorities have been busy preparing countermeasures after the drug visit, and Shrimp Cracker, which has been loved as a national snack for decades, is at a crossroads.
Even at this level, there is so much noise in the country, but in Egypt, all the water has turned to blood, and now a greater calamity has swept over the whole country. How great would the chaos and pain to go through when such a disaster happened in real life? Cries and wailings seem to be heard everywhere. A recent oil leak on the west coast has put the entire nation in pain, and residents commit suicide, and the aftereffects of stress are still severe.
2. If you refuse to let me go, I will strike you all over with frogs. 3. Frogs will grow innumerable from the river and come up in your palace, in your bedroom, on your bed, in your servants' house, in your people, and in your house. They shall go into the oven and into your loaf of bread.
Pharaoh, who chose to refuse Jehovah's command, despite all the hardships, threw him, his servants, and his people into a pit of torment.
It reminds me of the words of Deuteronomy that if you listen carefully to the word of the Lord and keep all his commands that I am giving you today, you will be blessed.
Deuteronomy 28:3 Blessed shall be in the city, and blessing in the field 4. Blessed shall be the offspring of thy body, and of thy land, and of thy beasts and of oxen, 5. thy basket and bread dough. The vessel will be blessed 6. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
Instead of these blessings (Deuteronomy 28:20), because you have done evil and have forgotten him, the LORD will bring curses, tools, and reproofs over all the works of your hands, that he will perish and quickly bring destruction. will be
God does not just curse the wicked. Our choices can turn blessings into curses. But Pharaoh rejected Jehovah and chose the curse. We must be vigilant and sober before the majesty and justice of the Lord. We need a thorough awakening to fully receive and obey God's commands and repentance of agony that shatters bones. I pray that today will be a day when I lift up my eyes to Jehovah and focus on him.
8. And Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron, and said, "Ask the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will send this people away, and they will sacrifice to the Lord."
Even in our time, we need real mediators like Moses and Aaron. God has now given the Holy Spirit to all of us to be powerful holy mediators. The mediator must be able to exercise the power of God. Only then can we defeat Satan, forgive sins, prophesy, bring the Lord's people back, and make them serve the Lord. You can do that, the Lord said. Lord, give us the blessing of cooperating with you through this grace in our lives!
It is only now that we understand the situation. It was only then that I came to know Jehovah.
10. He said, "Tomorrow." And Moses said, "I will do as the king has said, that the king may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.
Moses goes into making sure the finish is solid. The Lord our God is imprinted on him.
However, there are still seven more rounds left. You should not relax.
15. But when Pharaoh saw that he could breathe, he hardened his heart and did not listen to them, as the LORD had said.
Moses prayed to the LORD and saw that the word of the LORD was fulfilled. Moses must have come to the realization that everything was within the will of the Lord. Even in the process of punishing sinners, God prepares and refines us.
These calamities are mysteries, miracles. Believing these stories is a miracle. These plagues of Jehovah, which reminds us of the last days of the book of Revelation, give us fear and regret as to how we should live in this age, where all kinds of evil and lies, depravity and debauchery prevail in this city that reminds us of Sodom and Gomorrah. Today, I pray that we will become people of faith who do not neglect the work we need to intercede and do.
