My Lifelong Wish (Phil 2:12-18)
1. This was Paul's lifelong wish. He wanted to live with deep trust in God at any time.
Verse 14 says, “Do everything without grumbling or arguing.” The people closely related to the words of resentment and quarreling were the Israelites in the wilderness. If we read the Bible, how can we live so ungrately? Rather, we forget what kind of people we are and point our fingers at them and kick their tongues.
Among the counseling methods for inner healing, there is a phenomenon called ring banding. As for what this is, I think I always live and go right, but I always see that I can't get out of that circle.
In verses 12-13 it says, “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, always in obedience.” It is God who works in you, to will and to do for His good pleasure.” A fearful and trembling heart does not mean to have fear, but to have reverence and awe. That's right. If we firmly trust that God is the one who gives us hope and enables us to live by faith, how can we do everything with grudges and quarrels? Of course you can't do that.
In Psalm 54:4, the psalmist confesses: “God is my helper, and the Lord is with those who sustain my life.” When unbearable difficulties in life try to take away your joy and peace, as Paul said, do not be anxious about anything, but pray in all things. I hope that you will live by telling God with thanksgiving and supplication. Even if nothing seems to change if you pray on your knees before God as if you have taken a bitter herbal medicine, I hope that you will live by faith every day, making it your lifelong wish to live with deep trust in God who fundamentally changes my heart.
2. Another lifelong wish was to live a life of light in the world.
If living in the fear of God and living without resentment and quarrels is an inner wish to control one's inner self in a sense, if it is a passive wish, it will be an external, active and active wish.
Verse 15 says, “For you are blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, to appear as lights among them in the world.” Light reveals its true identity without sound or rumor and plays a role in making other things nearby as well. Then, to live a light life is to live without blemishes and to live purely. The representative person who lived like this was Daniel. Daniel 6:4 and 10 would be an example. 'He tried to find an opportunity to sue Daniel, but was unable to find any fault or fault, because he was faithful and did nothing wrong, and there was nothing wrong with him. and gave thanks to God.' When the world is dark, praise is not worthy of praise. The words of a person become everything of consolation. Satan is trying hard to keep God from being revealed. In times like these, as in verse 16, I believe that you should illuminate your life path with the word of life, so that your running is not in vain and your toil is not in vain, so you should live with something to be proud of on the Day of Christ.
This is what we must do in order to live a victorious and blessed life all our lives. May your life focus on how you will stand on the day of Christ Jesus. Instead of living in a world where we are arbitrarily judging like those who do not have God and living with grievances and quarrels, I hope that you will always obey the Lord's will like those with God and live before God with fear and trembling awe. Live that way on the day of Christ so that you feel like you are not wasting anything. I hope that even if you face the dire situation of death because of the sacrifice and service of faith, you will live happily ever after. Please live up to that day. Not now. If you have a goal of how I will stand on the day of Christ, I sincerely hope that you will be able to overcome any difficulties in the middle and live as believers of faith that the Lord can be proud of.
