Title: Philippians 02:5-11 Our Teacher Jesus

Contents Philippians 2:5-11 / Our Teacher Jesus

A teacher is a person who teaches others. In Greek, it is called ‘didaskalos’, but in the Bible it is also translated as ‘teacher’ (Matthew 8:19) and ‘teacher’ (2 Timothy 1:11). In the Bible, it was mainly used as an expression to refer to Jesus (Matthew 9:11, Luke 6:40, John 8:4), and was also used to refer to Elijah, John the Baptist, and Nicodemus.

A true teacher is one who knows and meets the needs of his disciples. He is the one who teaches not only knowledge, but the true life. Not a theory, but a person who teaches with care and love. In that sense, Jesus is our greatest teacher. This is because Jesus, who was a true teacher, showed his disciples the way of life, the way of polite people.

Then, what should we do to follow Jesus, the true Master? First, you must have a humble heart (verse 7). To be humbled is to have the mind of a servant. You must have a servant's mind. “But he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, and was made in the likeness of men” (verse 7). Jesus is the Son of God. Nevertheless, he became a servant. you have come down

The Apostle Paul also confessed, “I am a servant of Christ” first after meeting Jesus and receiving grace. Even though no one told Paul to become a slave, he claimed to be a slave himself. The characteristic of a servant is to serve thoroughly. You have to be good at serving. A servant must serve his master thoroughly. In ancient times, slaves thought they would die for their master. Do you know what the last lesson Jesus taught after three and a half years with his disciples? The last class you taught was the servant's class.

We must also acknowledge the authority of Jesus as our teacher. Our Master, Jesus, is the one who risked his life for the work of redemption that he received, the work of redemption by bearing the cross. Jesus did not reluctantly carry the cross. Voluntarily, he went up to Jerusalem with joy and was crucified.

Finally, you must follow your master's mission. Jesus was obedient, even to the point of death. Why did you obey? You obeyed for a mission. If the Lord was going to reject it, he could not lose it.

Our Master, the Lord, came to this earth for us and gave His whole body for us. So he went down to the grave, where he could no longer be lowered. As a result, we are saved and restored to our relationship with God. However, God did not leave the humbled Lord as it is, but raised him up and raised him to the throne of the Lord in the eternal heavens. And he bestowed upon him the title of Eternal Savior and made every mouth confess that he is Lord.

In the end, God was glorified through our Master, Jesus. We must follow the true Master, Jesus. In addition, on the occasion of Teacher's Day, I would like to express my gratitude to the numerous church teachers who, through the Word, present the principle of respect for adults and the standard of judgment of good and evil.
