Title /Philippians 4:8-4:9? ..
The fact that there is something reliable is worthwhile in itself. People believe in their own beliefs and live their lives. Among them, people with a strong background can be seen pompously and scornfully. Because even if you don't have any power to use, there is something you can rely on, so you treat people in your own way without being conscious of others. What is our life like, what we are living on now, is it reliable, people, riches, power, honor, and ourselves like some people depend on, things that cannot be given any value that disappears like a bubble in a moment. Isn't it an investment life? For Christians, if there is a strong background, there is a Lord who is the same for all eternity and is the same yesterday and today. Not only that, I have nothing to fear because the omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent Lord is always with me. There is joy in the Christian life that believes in the faithful Lord. What kind of life is the life of a person who lives that life with joy?
First, the life of those with God is a life of thinking about things to think about.
“The Lord will keep the steadfast in his heart, in peace, for he trusts in You (Isaiah 26:3). We must realize the importance of what governs our thoughts. Thoughts are invisible, weightless, and unmeasured, we must know that they are truly real and powerful. If the peace of God reigns over our hearts, Thoughts are full of holiness, but if they are deceived by Satan, they will be full of worldliness, so we must take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).
"Sow a thought and you reap an action, sow an action and you reap a habit, sow a habit and you reap a character, sow a character and you reap a destiny!"
If we look at the specific lessons mentioned in the text, the first is that whatever is true ( ) is the opposite of dishonest and unbelievable. "Speaking the truth in love, and in all things grow up into him, who is the head, which is Christ. Therefore, putting away falsehood, let each one speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another" (Ephesians 4:15, 25).
The second meaning is that anything is reverent, dignified, and worthy of respect, 1 Timothy 3:8,11 "Respectful, well-groomed, not arrogant, not addicted to wine, not greedy for unclean, true It is said that one should be modest, temperate, and faithful in all things." Titus 2:2 "Old men are temperate, godly, fasting, perfecting in faith, love, and perseverance." Because Christians fear and fear God, they should be able to be respected rather than reproached by others.
Third, anything is right ( ), and this is the life of a believer that conforms to God's standards, which is not of the world, but must be done in the world, and refers to a Christian life who is responsible for the world. Holiness is inseparable from morality. Rather, holiness transcends and possesses morality.
The fourth is that anything is clean ( ) and is not mixed with sound moral impurity. Matthew 5:3 "He who is pure in heart will see God." Christians, as possessors of sound thinking, maintain a state of being free of impurities even in serving God.
Fifth, anything is lovable ( ), and the love here is used to mean lovely, pleasing, attractive, etc., and promotes peace, not just love. The character of a Christian is a life that combines meekness, nobleness, humility, and mercy, imitating Christ.
Finally, anything praiseworthy ( ) refers to a positive and constructive life, not negative or destructive. In living this life, we also live a life of good reputation. Christians should live a life of grace and holiness, that is, a life of purity. For all these things Christians should be excellent, commendable, and accepted by all, to be a good testimony life. If our lives are filled with Christ, we will be able to live a creative and exemplary life. “Great peace are with those who love Your law, and no obstacle will be found in them (Psalm 119:165). Right thoughts come from daily meditation on the Word of God.
Second, the Christian life with God is a life of doing what is worthy of action.
