Spring is beginning all over the world. It is a beautiful season to relax and relax the body and mind that had been cramped during the winter. By the way, although spring may be like for the people of the world, we, those who follow Jesus, do not see spring and flower viewing. This is because Lent, looking at the sufferings of Jesus and the cross, began with this spring.
When you think about it, it's quite paradoxical. In the spring of life, the death of Jesus awaits. All things are waiting for flowers to bloom, and they are busy with it, but people who believe in Jesus should talk about suffering and death. The Son of God should have only glory and victory, but he suffered suffering and death. Therefore, this Lent, when we have to talk about suffering and death to modern people who do not care about anything even if it is a happy and good thing, will not be of any interest.
So how are we today? Do you know the suffering and death of Jesus? I believe that who a real Christian is will be proven and shown during this Lent, not Christmas time. In particular, I am paying attention to the early morning prayer meeting during the Holy Week. This time, all members of the church are hoping to join in this early morning prayer. We hope that the whole family, from kindergarteners to seniors, will be mobilized to become the early morning worship service that Jesus had to go along the path of suffering.
The Jewish religious leaders who took Jesus out of the Garden of Gethsemane continued to interrogate and interrogate me all night. And the name of the sin of Jesus was decided. As in verse 30, it was an "evildoer." It wasn't about keeping the law or not, it was a judgment that human beings themselves were evil. In this society, it is absolutely useless. Pilate asked Jesus a second question. Verse 35. "What have you done?"
Jesus also faithfully answered Pilate's critical question, "What have you done?" Not annoyed, ignored or avoided Verse 37. “As you say, I am a king, for this I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify of the truth.”
As a king, he came to proclaim and make known the truth. When asked what he did, the answer was the exact opposite of what he expected. Now comes the third question. Verse 38. "Pilate said, What is truth?" It is incomprehensible to me that you have come to preach and teach the truth, which is what Jesus would do and should do, such as to help us do business, to give us health, and to do things like that. Look at verse 38 and then. He asks, "What is truth?" and then goes out.
I don't need to listen, I don't want to know. What is the truth? What does truth mean? Whether it was food or bread, he said that he came as a king for that, and he just left. Are you the king of the Jews? / Today we are changing this question to: “Are you the king of me and my family? What have you done? / “What have you done for me as my king?” What is the truth? ?" "What is the need for truth in today's world?" "What is truth?" Had Jesus answered his own question, Pilate's life would have been different. Answers to the first two questions It is not enough to hear what the truth is. We need to hear this. Not the truth that I have learned through my own strength and ability, but the truth that Jesus answered and I have learned. Take an interest in the truth.
