Title [2009.1.4] Please broaden my horizons
Please broaden my horizons
(1 Chronicles 4:9-10)
The word 'Jabez' means 'pain', and he was not a noble person from birth. However, this man's life has changed, and he leaves behind his name and childhood, and in his later years God exalted him and made him a noble person. The reason God wrote the story of Jabez is to let us know that our lives and our destiny can be changed through prayer. Then, what was the content of Jabez's prayer?
1. God bless me.
The prayer of 'Blessings upon blessing' means, 'Bless me, but give me all the blessings in the heavens to the fullest and fullest!' He prayed this prayer throughout his life. And finally, God blessed him.
The blessing that the Bible speaks of is 'God's amazing grace that gives us things that humans cannot achieve'. God knows that there are really blessings to me more than I thought, and He knows when that blessing is best for me. Therefore, when we pray for blessings, we pray, "Father, God, give me the best thing in your time that fills your heart and not my will!"
A prayer that asks God for blessings is a very proper prayer. Because He wants to bless us, and He is the One who has filled the heavens with everything we need and has stocked up in storehouses. I pray in the name of the Lord that you will go before God in 2009 and ask for blessings.
2. Broaden my horizons.
This prayer means “Give me more influence in my life.” Jabez prayed, “Expand my field of influence for the glory of God!” In the name of the Lord, I bless you to offer this prayer before the Lord in the new year.
3. Help me.
I often see people fall among those who God has blessed us with in answer to our prayers and expanded our ministry. That is why we need this prayer. God hears our prayers, enlarges our work, and expands our work. But sooner or later, pride grows in the heart. This is because they have not bowed their knees to God. The results are very obvious.
As you grow, revive, rise in status, and become healthy, you need to be careful. At that moment, I want you to get down on your knees. "Lord, I cannot live without your help. Oh! Father God, help me! I depend on you." This is the prayer we should offer.
4. Let us be free from tribulation and free from sorrow
In other words, it is "God, Father, help me out of trouble!" Satan attacks those who are successful, those who are very blessed, and those who have grown spiritually. At a time when our boundaries have expanded before God and we have a great influence on our lives, the title we should not forget to pray for is “Father, God, help me out of trouble!”
Today's text concludes with the words, "God granted him what he asked for." When we open our mouths and pray before God, God grants us what we ask for. Hallelujah! In the name of the Lord, I pray that you will become Sungmin members who receive the blessing of Jabez through prayer.
