Now we can guess what Paul meant when he said this. “Am I good for people or good for God? If I had been seeking the joy of men, I would not have been a servant of Christ.” (1:10) As a servant of Jesus Christ, you did good to God and please God.
The second is faith. A repentant person must have total faith in order to please God. We live by faith in our thoughts, by faith in our words, by faith in our actions, and by faith in God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit. The Lord said, “Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). And how do we find our Heavenly Father? What will be rewarded by God? A person who thinks like this is a person who lives by faith. You are happy with these people.
The third is to receive the filling of the Holy Spirit. “Those who are after the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, and those who are after the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. The carnal mind is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God, nor can it do so. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” Yes. We do not live according to the thoughts of the flesh. Rather, if we are filled with the Holy Spirit, that is, live according to the thoughts of the Holy Spirit, under the control of the Holy Spirit, and live according to the Holy Spirit, God is very pleased.
The fourth is to glorify God by preaching the gospel. Preaching the gospel is the culmination of being filled with the Holy Spirit. Moreover, those who dedicate their lives and devotion to the gospel are living a life that is very pleasing to God. Heavenly Father predestined and chose us because He pleased us. (Ephesians 1:5) He was pleased to give us the kingdom of God free of charge. (Luke 12:31-32) He was pleased to save those who heard the gospel and believed.( 1 Corinthians 1:12) God does not take pleasure in the death of even the wicked. Look. He sent Jesus with joy, and sent his apostles and their servants. That is why even now, when someone tries to preach the gospel, He really takes delight in him. “It is beautiful! O feet of those who bring good news!” (Romans 10:15)
Dear brothers and sisters, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will become a saint who pleases Heavenly Father from the place of giving sorrow to Heavenly Father.
