Title (Ⅰ) Plowing and Shepherding Servant (Luke 17:5~10)
Contents
① Living faith with life is the most precious faith that cannot fail. Many believers are deceived by the devil and have dead faith, yet they are deceived into thinking that they are living even living faith, and they do not realize the value of faith. ② Living faith has the power to fight and overcome the devil, the world, sin, and the old man with the blood, the truth, and the power of the Holy Spirit, and the power to invest for eternity in reality. ③ The living faith gradually grows, and the dead faith gradually fades and dies.
“A way to increase your faith”
① When Jesus “begged for more faith,” Jesus spoke of the way to increase faith. “Knowing that you are the master’s servant,” “plowing the master’s field,” “shepherding the master’s sheep,” “preparing food for the master. “To be girded and served while the master eats” “To eat after the master eats” “To confess that he is a useless servant” “To say that he has only done his duty”
“What does it mean to know that you are a servant of your master?”
① The saints are to realize and know that they belong to the Lord, who was bought at a great price. ② Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, gave up all the riches, glory, honor, and authority of heaven to save us from eternal death and suffering ③ And, as God the Creator, took on the body of a man he created and came into this world ④ In addition, he paid the price of this sacrifice by suffering all kinds of suffering for 30 years of private life centered on family and 3 years and months of public life centered on the gospel of the kingdom, and finally nailed to a cross.
“It is to know experientially what the Lord has paid for us.”
① The way to increase our faith is to study, understand, know, and be grateful for what Jesus paid for us ② If we understand, know, and give thanks, we will be faithful before the Lord and sacrifice for Him, even if we sacrifice for Him. It is nothing compared to one thing, and it cannot be compared for eternity. ③ Because you are forever indebted to the Lord, you cannot raise your head before the Lord and become loyal to death.
“To become one who lives for the Lord and actually lives for the Lord”
“It is always to live with the Lord’s thanks”
① We have been transferred from hell to heaven, from eternal death to eternal life, from children of the devil to children of God, from being citizens of heaven to eternal life, we are the Lord’s forever because it is the grace of the Lord’s ransom. ② Therefore, they are people who cannot live according to our desires and opinions and have to live according to the desire and insistence of the Lord. ③ For eternal life and existence, we must do it not because we are afraid of God’s discipline, but because we are grateful for the love of Jesus. . ④ The Apostle John suffered a lot for the Lord and for the gospel, but when he saw the risen Lord on the Lord's Day, he was too shy and fainted compared to the sacrifice of Jesus (Rev 1:17)
