Title: Pour the Perfume

Title / Pour the perfume
Jesus came to this earth in human flesh to redeem us.
However, the fulfillment of this work of redemption did not just happen;
It is because there were cooperation of many people who wanted to accomplish this work until Jesus was able to preach the gospel of the kingdom during his public life.
(Luke 8:1) After this, Jesus went through every city and village, proclaiming the kingdom of God and preaching the gospel, and the twelve disciples were with him.
(Luke 8:2) And certain women who had been healed of and cast out demons, Mary, who was called a Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
(Luke 8:3) And Joanna, the wife of Cuzah, a steward of Herod, and Susanna and many other women were with them to serve them with their own possessions
Because of these events, Jesus was able to fully preach the gospel of the kingdom.
Yes.
The Church of God is not just built.
Where is the church being built?
It's not about whether you succeeded or failed by increasing the number of people, it's about being able to do better in this work to achieve the salvation of souls.
So how is the church built?
It can be accomplished well only when the members of the church work together.
Therefore, in order for the pastor to accomplish this work effectively, the members must work together in this work.
So, what was the purpose of establishing the deacons of the early church?
(Acts 6:3) Brethren, choose from among you seven men of praise, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, which we have committed to them.
(Acts 6:4) We will do nothing to pray or preach the word.
How does God get things done?
(Romans 8:28) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose.
In particular, look at Jesus' work of redemption on the cross for one week.
You can see different kinds of dedicated people to make this redemption work.
The kingdom of God can only be achieved through dedication.
Today, I hope that we too will become dedicated people to build the kingdom of God.
In what form should you be committed?
1. The person who gave the donkey (Mark 11:1-11)
He is a person who is willing to dedicate himself to doing it.
He was gladly used when the disciples came and said, 'The Lord will use it.'
In fact, it's a pity.
It was carefully nurtured. But when the Lord wants to use him, he is glorified and used.
Because of this devotion, the Lord was able to fulfill His word.
Everyone!
When the Lord's servant tells us to do it in order to build up the body of the Lord, I want you to be able to be used willingly.
Let's pray - the will of the Lord may be done, so we must be willing to commit ourselves.
Let's evangelize - It is a matter of saving the soul, so I want to be used by devoting myself willingly.
Everyone!
When you want to use me, I consider it an honorable thing to do and I want to be used willingly.
Even if it's not me, even if it's not mine, you'll use the Lord. How grateful are you for writing me, mine
2. Cyrene Simon (Matthew 27:32)
Someone who was forced to use it.
(Mat 27:32) As he was going out, he met a Cyrene man named Simon, and he forced him to go with him, and they took away the cross of Jesus.
The cross of the Lord was heavy.
While carrying the cross, he fell and fell.
However, when he fell while carrying the cross, a Roman soldier forced Simon the Cyrene to remove the cross.
Of course, how good would it be if you just volunteered?
However, the Lord was able to get a little better because he took up the cross by force.
Everyone!
In my life of faith, in my church, in my life, it would be great if I could do it.
There are times when I don't even want to pray. But even so, if you pray forcibly, it becomes a prayer.
There are times when I don't want to do evangelism (no, who would like to do it?.
However, if you force it, you can accomplish the work of saving souls.
There are times when I don't even want to serve. But if you force it, you can get joy.
Sometimes I don't even want to go to church. But if you overcome that time, you will become grace.
Sometimes I don't want to give. But if you give, you can get unspeakable joy.
Everyone!
try to force it
If I don't say it's a burden, I can't grow any more.
It is hard, it is a burden, but if you force it, you can get great grace.
Now, our church is in a situation where we have to bear the cross even by force.
There are many shortcomings.
There is a lot of weakness.
I have put you here to 'carry up the cross' at this difficult time, when you are really weak.
It will be difficult at the time of loss, but by carrying the cross, you can understand how great and wonderful the suffering the Lord suffered.
More importantly, through it, the works of redemption can be accomplished.
Looking at the words of this text, I
Perhaps despite the lead of the Roman soldiers to forcefully remove the cross, many people
I think there must have been a lot of people who refused to bear the cross for one reason or another, with the excuse of being heavy, the excuse of suffering, the excuse of being embarrassed.
Everyone is.
I like things that are comfortable, I like things that are not difficult, and I just want to make things easy in one way or another.
But when the Lord was in the midst of such a hardship that he fell while carrying the cross,
Just as the work of redemption is accomplished through the person who takes up the cross even by force.
If we forcefully take up the cross in this weak church situation where we have to really gather our strength, we have to gather our hearts, we have to gather our materials, and we have to gather our will, the church that is the body of the Lord will be established.
I beg you very earnestly.
Even if it is difficult or painful, I want you to be able to carry the cross at this time.
The Lord will praise you for what you have done, even if you force it, and He will be pleased.
3. Mary's dedication (Mark 14:3-9)
It is an expression of devotion to volunteering.
While Jesus was having dinner at Simon Bethany's house, Mary
'He brought an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, pure nard, and broke it.'
Doing this?
Looking at verse 8, it says that 'the work of the Lord was done for the work of redemption'.
Mary was used to accomplish the Lord's redemption by breaking the precious alabaster that he had to Jesus, who would accomplish the work of redemption.
It's not something someone made you do.
He was thankful for the grace of the Lord and thought about how I could be used by the Lord who would accomplish the work of redemption.
One alabama of this ointment would cost a lot of money.
As Judas Iscariot said in verses 4-5, if you sell it and give it to the poor, it was enough to help many people.
If it was poured out on others, it could be used more preciously, but
She had now broken it and poured it upon the Lord, who needed this perfume.
I hope that we can accomplish the Lord's redemption and build up the body of the church through this devotion to us today.
Thanking the Lord for his grace who came to this earth to accomplish the work of redemption for him,
Just like Mary who showed the grace she received from Jesus, the grace she could never have received.
Of course, we can use our talents and health for other things, but I hope that we will volunteer to be used willingly for the work of the Lord.
Of course, there are places where we need help in other places, and there are places where we have to serve, but if there is a work of breaking the perfume in this church where I am in need of perfume now.
Mary knew where he was to pour the perfume.
As verse 8 says, I poured all my strength into the place where the ointment was to be poured out.
Now, Happy Church needs someone who pours perfume with all their might.
Thus, the works of the Lord's redemption, the salvation of souls, and the building up of the church of God must be accomplished.
Everyone!
Find out where I will pour my perfume, and what perfume I should pour.
So when you see a place to pour perfume,
'Ah, if you think that our church needs the perfume of prayer, pour it on it'
'Ah, if you think that our church needs perfume to be used by offering your body, pour it on it.'
'Ah, if you think that our church needs material perfume, pour it on it'
The Lord sees the ointment you poured out and says in verse 9.
Let us anoint it with perfume.
