power of character
Dr. Wooseok Hwang's research on cloning has received tremendous honor and praise not only domestically but also internationally. The whole nation was amazed and attracted the attention of the world. Born in a poor country, he quickly became a national hero of the Republic of Korea. He was selected as the best scientist in Korea as an expert on stem cells. However, when it was revealed that Dr. Hwang's research presentation was false, the whole nation and the world were astonished. It was true that Dr. Hwang's team was the first in the world to clone a dog. But the rest were false. He had great talent. However, what made him fail was his character flaw. His talent was great, but he didn't have the character to support his talent. Character is the foundation of human beings and the foundation of character. When the foundation collapses, everything collapses. He was a fool who built his house on sand.
The Bible speaks of three qualities.
It is a strong character.
A stubborn disposition is a disposition that is hard and stubborn and unable to serve God. God said, "Israel is as stubborn as a stubborn cow; will the Lord feed them now as lambs in the open field?" (Hosea 4:16). To be stubborn means to be stubborn. A person who is stubborn is called ‘beef-stick’ or ‘chicken-stick’. Nothing comes back to a stubborn person. To fix a beef stew, you have to pierce your nose, and to fix a chicken stick, you have to twist your neck.
“According to your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for thee in the day of wrath, when the righteous judgment of God is revealed” (Romans 2:5). I can’t,” he said. There is a saying in our proverb that “the one who stands and poops”. He hates bending over, so he stands up and poops. A person who is too stubborn and unbending.
There is a story in Aesop's fable called "The Donkey's Perseverance". A man leads a donkey, but the donkey does not follow what its master leads. Going down is dangerous, so even if you pull it up, it will go down as you please. Even if I pulled it in sweat and pulled it down, I had no choice but to let it go. The donkey went down on its own accord and fell off a cliff and broke its leg. I didn't go the way I was supposed to go, and I got angry for doing my own thing.
Pharaoh in the Bible is a person with a strong character. God told Moses that I would set you up like God before Pharaoh. He demanded that the people of Israel be expelled from the land of Egypt. But Pharaoh's heart is hardened and he refuses. Then he will not allow him to go and offer sacrifices to the Lord with his staff, so we must testify that it is God who has commanded it. From then on, the calamity begins, and the first is the blood calamity. Moses says. “If you strike the water of the Nile with your staff, it will turn into blood, and the fish will die and you will not be able to drink.” When Moses struck the river with his staff, it was as he had said. But Pharaoh's heart became more stubborn and he did not listen to Moses. The second plague is the frog plague. Frogs run around the house and in the fields and all die, and a rotten stench stinks in their noses. Still didn't allow it. This is because Pharaoh's heart was hardened (Exodus 8:15). His hardened heart suffered three, four times... up to the tenth plague. In other words, the death of the firstborn comes. There is a saying that only stubborn people go to hell.
People who are ruined by stubbornness, they all have character problems. The stubbornness of character is a hostile disposition. They have a sense of self-damage. You have a distorted view of yourself and those around you. Such a person is bound to behave inconsistently no matter how hard he tries. “Therefore, when you hear his voice today, as the Holy Spirit says, do not harden your hearts as they were when you were tempted in the wilderness, stirred up in wrath” (Hebrews 3:7-8). Don't do it! It means don't be stubborn. A strong character needs to be changed.
It is an unconventional character.
“He who is steadfast in character has understanding” (Proverbs 17:27). It refers to a person who has grown up with a good personality and controls emotions. In a situation where there is no choice but to be angry, in a situation where there is no choice but to do something big, it is the power of character to be able to control one's mind. “He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his heart is better than he who takes a city” (Proverbs 16:32)
When David returned from killing Goliath, women came out and danced, played drums, and sounded wildcats. He sang, “Saul killed thousands, and David ten thousand” (1 Samuel 18:7). Saul was displeased with these words, and an evil spirit entered him at that moment. Since then I've been out of my mind He threw a spear at David, sent an assassin, and later went on his own. David suffered great shock and fear, and his life of escape began. Then I express my feelings like this. “My heart is troubled, and my heart is pierced” (Psalm 73:21).
David is personally Saul's son-in-law. Officially, he is a loyal servant and soldier. There is absolutely no reason to hate or kill. Saul led his army to the search to kill David, but David met an opportunity of a genius to kill Saul. David enters a hidden cave to urinate. Not only that, he even meets the sleeping Saul. Still don't touch it.
How could David contain his anger and his desire to kill? It was the power of prayer. Through prayer, I was able to control my hatred and my urge to kill. “Let their children become orphans, and their wives become widows, and let their children beg for glass and leave their ruined house to beg” (Psalm 109:9-10). God wants King Saul to die. He prayed that his wife would be a widow, and that his children would be orphans. David poured out his grieving and injustice heart at the crossroads. I vomited a feeling of wanting to kill my hateful heart at that time. Then he says, “When I did not vomit, my bones grew weak because I groaned all day long” (Psalm 32:3).
If the restless character is not established, it becomes a slave to the environment and an animal of emotions. get the job done. Who am I? It's not about looks. I am not of wealth or status. Really, I am my character. Some people have a weak personality like a toothpick. Some people have a pillar-like personality. It is strong enough to support even the roof. David's greatness is based on his steadfast character.
It is the disposition of God.
It is said that the future of a country depends on the dignity of the country. An individual, a nation, or character is the foundation and foundation. If the foundation is cracked, the building cannot be higher. The higher you go, the more dangerous. Before you can achieve more, you need to strengthen your character. Once you have solidified your character, that is the foundation of your success.
God's character can be compared to an iceberg. The Titanic hit an iceberg and sank. The biggest ship on Earth did not budge when it collided. No one with an iceberg personality can break down. It does not sway even in the face of strong storms. “He who trusts in the Lord is like Mount Zion, which is not moved, but remains forever” (Psalm 125:1) “Though the waters of the sea are violent and the mountains tossed, we will not fear” (Psalm 46:3).
God has made us “partakers of the divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4) so that no hardship or any worldly lust can destroy us. The disposition of God is the disposition of God and the disposition that resembles God. The words of encouragement to “partakers of the divine nature” are, “Be stronger, and add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, to brotherly kindness love. provide” (2 Peter 1:4-7) Those who believe are partakers of the disposition of God.
Those who have been blessed by participating in the divine nature
Virtue must be supplied by faith. Morally and personally, he is excellent, wholesome, and courageous.
Thanks to you, you need to be supplied with knowledge. Knowledge is practical insight. This means knowing what to do in every situation. It is knowing how to see life's trials and how to deal with them.
Knowledge must be supplied with temperance. God's character is temperance. “Everyone who competes for the victory is temperate in all things…so that he may gain incorruption” (1 Corinthians 9:25).
You must be supplied with patience in temperance. Patience is a character of God. He is the God of patience who waits for a thousand years like a day. Patience refers to perseverance and perseverance. Patience is not a passive concept. It's not just sitting and waiting. It is an attitude that actively conquers, resists and confronts trials.
Patience must be supplied with godliness. Godliness means the disposition to fear and fear God. It is a life that seeks to become like God while being conscious of the presence of God. It is to imitate God's character and actions. It is a character that is not swayed or influenced by any environment.
We must be supplied with brotherly kindness in godliness. Brotherly friendship is a very special love that coexists between family members in the home. ‘Brother’ means ‘from the same womb’. It is a love that is friendly and loving in the heart. Brotherly kindness means having the same origin. It is to be born again to have God-like dispositions.
We must be supplied with love by brotherly kindness. The Apostle Paul said, “The love of God compels us” (2 Corinthians 5:14). If I am to love my brother, the love of God must be poured out in our hearts (Romans 5:5). Saul's fall and Pharaoh's defeat were due to his stubborn personality. The reason that David became a holy soldier was because he participated in the divine nature.
You must have the strength of character to not give up or give in to adversity. In order to withstand the storms of life, we must have a character that participates in God's character. As we experience trials and tribulations, our souls are strengthened, our visions are clear, our passions are inspired, and we are able to succeed.
You must have the power of character to do the right thing. Do the right thing, no matter the situation. It is said that cowards ask whether this is safe, public opinion asks whether it is popular, and God's disposition asks whether it is right.
Those with the power of character control life. It is to be a leader. Stephen Covey said that if you have a fundamental problem with your character, you can't be successful as a result. Personality cannot be inherited. You cannot buy anything from anyone. It is the only way to make it yourself. We can change our character by participating in God's disposition. God requires us to serve Him with all our heart and with all our character. If you serve God with all your heart, you will find all happiness in this world. Please serve God with all your character.
