Title: Powerful Church
Contents
The other day, when I landed at Gimpo Airport, I once looked down.
There were indeed many churches as embroidered with red crosses.
As far as I know, I have heard that there are about 30,000 churches in Korea.
Even without raising the shame, you will easily agree that there are many true churches around us.
Among the many churches, we, Malacca Korean Church, want to be recognized by God as a powerful church.
The theme of the book of Colossians is who Jesus is.
By introducing the essence of Jesus, it records the appearance of the Redeemer who forgives sins and the image of God the Creator who created the whole world.
When Jesus becomes the Lord of our lives, our fundamental problems are solved.
Then, let's take a look at how we can become a powerful church through the words of the text.
First, we must hold on to Jesus, the head, in order to solve problems and become a powerful church.
Jesus spoke through parables so that people could easily understand God's deep and mysterious words of truth.
When talking about faith, he compared a mustard seed and said that it is small and fragile at first, but over time it can become a huge tree and become a haven for birds.
Even when He spoke of heaven, He showed us how precious and valuable the kingdom of God is through the image of a merchant wandering in search of hidden treasures and pearls.
Similarly, Paul introduces Jesus in the way of parables so that we can understand easily. Verse 18: “He is the head of the body, the church… ”
Paul clearly and clearly defines the church as ‘the body of Christ’.
The bodies seem to play separately, but in the end they move towards a single purpose.
For example, when you sit in a dark room and eat with a spoon, do you put the rice into your nose because your eyes don't do its job? Do you put it in your ear?
no.
No matter how dark it is, it will enter your mouth.
This is our body.
It looks like the hands are playing separately, the mouth seems to be playing separately, and the nose seems to be playing separately, but in the end, they are focused on one purpose.
This is the church.
