Title: Praise of Glory
Contents
bless you God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, has blessed us in Christ with all heavenly blessings, who chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, and made us holy in love and blameless before Him according to His pleasure. predestined to become his sons through Jesus Christ, to the praise of the glory of his grace, which is freely given to us in him whom he loves.
In Christ we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our sins, according to the riches of his grace, because he has made us abound in all wisdom and understanding, making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his pleasure the dispensation of the fulness of times in Christ. was ordained for the sake of the unity of all things in heaven and on earth in Christ.
According to the will of him who works all things according to the will of his heart, we have been predestined and have become an inheritance in him, that we, who had previously hoped in Christ, might be to the praise of his glory.
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, to be the guarantee of our inheritance, to redeem what we have obtained, to the praise of his glory.
(Eph 1:3-14)
Jesus and his disciples said that they sang hymns while going to the last Mount of Olives with the imminent death of the cross (Mark 14:26). Among the hymns sung by the Catholic Church, the Gregorian chant is a compilation of songs sung by the common people who lived their faith and conscience in the dark ages of the Middle Ages and the monks who went to the monastery and had a hard day every day. It is a hymn of the hopes of people of faith who live in a ray of heavenly light even in the darkness surrounding reality. The Reformer Luther even said that if you did not know music, you would not be qualified to be a priest.
In Revelation chapters 4 and 5, we see that in the heaven where God Himself provides the throne, the 24 elders, the heavenly hosts, the angels, the sun, the moon, and the Holy Spirit, created by him, and all the creatures and all peoples under the heaven who have been saved. You can see that it is recorded that they are constantly praising "Holy, holy, the Lord our God and the Lamb Jesus Christ" So, someone said, "There will be no sermons in the order of worship in heaven, because God speaks directly, and there will be no prayers in the name of Jesus. Because at any time he will speak directly before the Father. This is because you can have it abundantly without even asking for it. Moreover, there will be no yearbook. Then, how will the order of worship in heaven be structured? The worship service will begin with a hymn, woven into a hymn, and end with a hymn." This hymn is a hymn of glory. Because it praises the glory of God, that praise cannot but be glorified.
Therefore, let us sing this glorious hymn more vigorously and fervently. And let us fill this hymn of glory in this temple, fill our homes, and fill the heavens and earth to vibrate in every corner of our country. Let us fill our workplaces and our whole lives, anytime, anywhere. Let's one day the people who sing this hymn will go ahead and cross the 38th parallel and fill the northern part of the northern land where the hymn is cut off. In Article 1 of the Geneva Catechism, the answer to the question of what is man's primary purpose is "to please God and to please God". What is the thing that God is most pleased with, and when is the time when God is most pleased? The thing that pleases God the most is when we offer sacrifices of praise, and the time when God is most pleased is when we offer glorified praise to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, today, among the four thousand years of national history, and hundreds of millions of people coming and going to this land, let us be truly grateful for being able to sing a song that glorifies God on this earth in this day and age. And let us fill our hearts and lives with praise. Where hymns are sung, there is no misfortune. When a hymn is sung, we always win. Constantine, the founder of the ancient Holy Roman Empire, made his soldiers march forward with a cross flag and singing hymns. Julius, the last emperor of the persecution of Christians, saw even the emperor's guards marching in front of the palace while singing hymns at the moment of his last breath, lamenting, "Jesus of Nazareth! You have overcome me" and died. Friends, let's move forward in 1976 as we sing praises Working morning and evening, as we go along the road, let us lift our voices in our hearts and sing hymns as we walk the hard road of life to victory.
