Praise the Lord (Psalm 103:1-5)
The God who started the new year 2011 wants to be praised through us. Psalm 103 is a Davidic poem written in Hebrew alphabetical order. As we begin our introduction, we use the imperative to ‘bless the Lord’ without hesitation. It then explains why you should bless. Today's reading is a command to individuals.
Second, we must praise Jesus who saved us. He came as a lowly and lowly human body for us, who had no choice but to die because of our sins, and forgave all our sins once and for all by shed His blood on the cross. He was “justified” by taking on all the sins of which he did not even realize it, not just the sins of repentance. He has given us the love that overcomes the wrath of God who acts justly. “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and with his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). I was healed. He personally suffered not only physical illness, but also internal and external pain. He did not punish us according to our sins, but moved our sins as far from the east as from the west (verse 12). We should sing about the joy that cannot be bound to death and the joy of receiving a new life.
“16 Rejoice always 17 Pray without ceasing 18 Give thanks in all circumstances This is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). You should always rejoice because you have gained a new life. We should give thanks in everything for the things that a just God has done. We must pray without ceasing for the help of the Holy Spirit. This is God's will. Let's bless Jesus as our savior. Let's bless the fair God. Let's bless the Holy Spirit who helps.
