Title: Pray Like a King
Description Jesus is the Son of God. We have received the authority to become children of God by receiving Jesus Christ, the Son of God (John 1:12). When Jesus prayed, he prayed like a king. We should follow Jesus and pray like a king.
?? prayer for yourself
Jesus first prayed for himself. He prayed, “Father, the hour has come, glorify the Son…” When Jesus was 12 years old, he went up to Jerusalem. On my way home from the Passover celebration, I found the boy Jesus missing. I found it in the temple after three days. When the parents saw it, they were astonished and said, “Behold, your father and I have been looking for you in sorrow.” Jesus said, “Why did you seek me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?” (Luke 2:48-49). . From an early age, he was convinced that he was the Son of God. He knows who God is, who he is, and what he must do. He knows what makes us ashamed and how we can be glorified. It is his crucifixion that makes him glorified. It is total submission to the will of God. We are children of the King, God. Let us pray for glorification.
?? prayer for God
The second prayer is, “Let your Son glorify you.” The way to glorify God is to become a person pleasing to God and do what pleases God. It is faith that pleases God. “Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:5,6). Faith glorifies God. Dedication glorifies God. To glorify God, we must do God's work. “What must we do to do the work of God? Jesus answered, “The work of God is that you believe in him whom God has sent” (John 6:28-29). It is to give life to the sheep and to be the shepherd of those who do not know the way. Jesus said, “...I have revealed your name” (verse 6). Jesus always revealed God.
?? prayer for mission
“I will do the work that the Father has given me to do...” (verse 4) The task that the Father has entrusted to me to do is my mission. What God did to Jesus was, “The Father gave the Son authority over all peoples, that he might give eternal life to all those whom you gave him” (verse 2). . All those who are called according to the will of God (Romans 8:28). “Those who have been given to me out of the world” (verse 6). Teachers are all the children entrusted to them. It is our mission for adults to make a decision without taking any registered believers from our church and not making them stumble. Jesus' mission was to give eternal life to all. “Eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (verse 3). Jesus said that to know God and to know Jesus is eternal life. Because it is his mission to get to know God. Please pray like a king for your mission.
Jesus prayed for himself. He prayed for the glory of God. He prayed for his mission. Please pray like Jesus. “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).
