Pray like this / Matthew 6:9-13
While we live on this earth, we always live in God's grace. cry out! Ask!' This is how I commanded you to pray. However, there will be times when you will have a lot of thoughts in your heart, such as how you should offer your prayers before God, what kind of prayers God hears, and whether God will listen to my prayers after praying. So did the disciples of Jesus. They asked Jesus about how to pray. At that time, Jesus told us to 'pray like this' and explained the contents of today's text.
First, set a place for prayer in a quiet place and pray.
“When you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. Your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Here, 'alcohol' refers to a quiet place to pray.
At the time of Jesus, the Pharisees liked to pray because there were many people in the synagogues and on the streets. The object of our prayers is God. But rather than praying to God, they say to people, 'We pray so much. we are so righteous We prayed on the street to show that we are so holy. So, the reason the Lord told us to go into the closet and pray is because we are governed by our environment. Ladies and gentlemen, we cannot ignore the atmosphere of prayer.
Another is that if we make and connect as many channels as octopus legs in this world, and open our hearts to all parts of the world, our minds will be distracted, and in this complex situation where we open one window to the Lord, Because you can't pray.
So, if we can, it's good to occasionally create a good place to pray. It is good to have a place of prayer in your home as well. It is a good idea to set aside even a prayer cushion and separate the places of prayer. Everyone, it would be great if the company had a separate place for prayer. Of course, it would be better if there was a place to worship. If you put all these thoughts into your heart, it is hard to get hold of the line of prayer. Therefore, we want you to close the door of the world due to worry, anxiety, fear, interpersonal and business relationships, open your heart only to the Lord, and believe that God is working in you when you pray and focus on God.
In Mark 1:35, it says, "In the early morning, at dawn, Jesus got up and went out to a secluded place, where he prayed. Here, Jesus showed the example of early morning prayer. Ladies and gentlemen, those who pray in the morning are wise people, and those who do not pray in the morning are very dangerous. Because if you build an altar before God at dawn, God guarantees a day. So, prayer is both prevention and prescription.
Some people pray in advance, receive God's grace and help, and live in God's work. Because these people have already entrusted everything to the Lord through prayer and depended on the Lord, they live a victorious life no matter how good or difficult it is.
However, some people just need a prescription. 'Lord, look at this. Look at that. please fix this Please treat me like that. please solve it Let me win.' while praying. Of course, if you pray even when there is work, you are very lucky.
However, there are some people who do not pray in advance, do not pray no matter what happens, and are rather frustrated, and they do not have time to ask for help or depend on the Lord at all, and they live only by human means and methods and become discouraged and frustrated. This is precisely because of the lack of prayer.
Therefore, we do not know how precious the life of praying before God is. Ladies and gentlemen, it is precious to keep many things open, but it is even more precious to keep the door of prayer open. Please believe that God's answer is in that prayer, God's guarantee is in that prayer, and God's blessing is in that prayer.
In 2 Kings 4:33-35, when the son of the Shunammite woman died, Elisha went to the place where the body was, and put all the people out, shut the door, and held the body there and prayed. At that time, the body began to become warm, and after sneezing seven times, he came to life. Here you can see how intensively they prayed as they closed the door and entered the room.
Please make a prayer closet in a quiet place where you can pray, cut off from the sinful world, open your heart only to the Lord, and get into the habit of praying every day. When you go into the prayer closet and pray, even if your strength and ability are a little lacking, he sees your prayers, and Almighty God supplies all your needs with his mighty hands, and solves all the problems that you cannot solve. I believe you will do it.
Second, first pray for God's will to be done.
“Thy kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (verse 10). He told us to pray that your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. There is quite a difference here. We usually pray for God's will to come in order for the things of the earth to be done, but we don't know how wrong it is. Even if something looks good to me and is beneficial to me, I should not rejoice in it unless it is God's will. So, please believe that God's greater work will be with you when you pray for God's will to be fulfilled in your prayers every day.
Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." The word 'first' here is very precious. Everyone, no matter what you think is right, you must first think about God's will. Even if it is beneficial to me, I need to think about whether this is a glory to God. If it is a work that brings glory to God, please believe that God will fill you with more abundant blessings. That is why we must always seek God's will and do what pleases us.
Everyone, did we have the core of worship when we built the altar? Genesis 8:20 says that when Noah built the altar, he built an altar to the Lord. When Abraham built an altar, he did not build it for himself, but for the Lord. He never built up for himself or put himself first. He built an altar for God, and of course it became a glory to God, and in the end the blessing came upon him. Being for God is the way to be for yourself. In the end, work that is not for God and for oneself cannot be for God or for oneself.
Matthew 7:21 says, "Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father who is in heaven." God's Will This is very precious. When we pray, we should seek God's will, put God's will first, and pray that we always long for God's will. Please believe that if you pray with a reverent heart in order to find God's will in everything, you will become a person who submits to you.
Romans 12:2 says, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, which is good and pleasing and perfect." We must pray to discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Third, pray with forgiveness.
“Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us” (verse 12). We should not forget to forgive and pray. If we do not know how to forgive others, we cannot receive God's forgiveness. In Mark 11:25 it says, "Forgive anyone against anything, and your Father in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions." Do you want to be forgiven by God? Please forgive each other. If you do, God will forgive you. If we do not forgive our brothers' sins, God will not forgive our sins.
According to Isaiah 59:1,2, "The Lord's hand is not short, that it cannot save, neither is his ear dull, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have covered his face, and you so that you will not hear me.” Sin blocks God and humans, cuts off good relationships between brothers, and becomes a great cancer between the saints between husband and wife and children.
So we can receive forgiveness from God when we forgive each other first. Everyone, I hope you like to forgive. Picacus said, 'Forgiveness is better than revenge'. In the past, our ancestors did a lot of revenge, especially in the past.
Also, in the famous Ranosjuk quote, 'A man forgives as much as he loves'. A person who forgives a lot has a lot of love, and a person who forgives a little has little love. Your love depends on how forgiving you are. A person who can forgive greatly is a great person. It is very dangerous to keep your teeth with something slightly offended, damaged, or damaged to your own honor.
How precious it is for us to forgive one another. Romans 12:19 says, "Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but leave it to wrath. For it is written, Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord, I will repay." We should be able to forgive and bless even our enemies without cursing them.
Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind to one another, have compassion, forgive one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” If we remember that the Lord has forgiven us, please believe that there is no one we cannot forgive.
So how many times should we forgive? In Matthew 18:21, Peter asked Jesus a question. "Lord, if my brother sins against me, how many times shall I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Then Jesus said, "Not only seven times, but seventy times seven times." It is 490 times, but it does not mean to forgive up to 490 times. It is a saying to forgive endlessly and indefinitely. In order for us to be forgiven before God, we must pray while forgiving.
Dear saints!
Through this prayer that the Lord taught us today, we pray that we will set a place of prayer in a secluded place and pray, that God’s will will be done before my will, and that you will always be victorious through prayer by forgiving and praying for each other. I bless you by name.
