Title: Prayer - Undeniable Power
Contents
Starting tomorrow, our church will start a special early morning prayer meeting. The following Sunday is celebrated as Sacrament Sunday. During the sacrament meeting, you will confirm that you are one with the Lord. And there are also learning and baptismal ceremonies. This is the foundation work for building church workers. Also, on the last Sunday, there is a congregational meeting to establish office-bearers in the church. There is no point in not praying before these many important events.
So the elders decided that this week should be a special morning prayer meeting with the thoughts that the church should not do it without praying about the various big and small things that the church should do in the future. Now the weather is also a great time to pray. I bless you in the name of the Lord that we may find God and enjoy spiritual answers and blessings through encounters at this opportunity to pray.
Lamentations 3:40-41 says, “Let us examine our own conduct and return to the Lord; let us lift up our hearts and our hands to the God of heaven.” Prayer is raising your hands to God. It is moving to meet God. It is also looking forward to the grace and blessings you will receive. However, despite this important meaning, it is honestly my heart that our prayer time is getting shorter and shorter.
God constantly gives us prayer topics. Starting with myself and my family, he is broadening the scope of prayer so that we can pray for the church, country, and people. North Korea's nuclear issue is the focus of the world's attention these days. This is a terrifying act that can destroy the entire human race. That is why we have no choice but to pray for this country. Because there is no other way but prayer.
Also, are you not saying that the economy of the country is also difficult? This is what God has given us an opportunity to pray. Is there any way to anything but prayer? Is there any way to avoid it? Only God is a God with the power to do all things.
So, through this sermon today, I am going to share the grace of thinking about “what should we pray for today?” with some realistic problems.
First, we must pray in difficult times.
We must pray when we are in trouble. We must pray when there are trials and tribulations. We should pray when darkness blocks our way and covers us, and when we encounter things that we cannot solve in our own strength. In Psalm 46:1, it says, “God is our refuge and strength, a great help in trouble.” Psalm 50:15 says, “Call on me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you, and I will glorify you.” A lot of people say, ‘How can I pray when I’m not good and pray again when I’m having a hard time? A person must be jealous You may be thinking, ‘How can I pray when it’s difficult for me to live my life on my own terms?’
But guys, people are like that. If human beings are prosperous and peaceful, they will not seek God. It is the same for both church members and non-members. It is human beings to know that I am handsome and know that it is my strength, and to live without personalities. Then, when it is not possible, just as a child seeks its parents, we too will seek God. God does not seem like such a frivolous thing from our human perspective, but God welcomes us with love, embraces us with a big heart, and solves our problems.
In today's text, Samuel gathers at Mizpah and prays before God when the whole nation is in danger from the Philistines. cry out. Save us, the God of Ebenezer, who has led us up to this point. In today's text, we saw that God delivered them from the dangers of the Philistines and made that nation a new nation.
That's right. The greatest prayer before God, the prayer that moved God's throne, is the prayer of repentance. It is always acknowledging our transgressions and sins and going before God. The way back to God is the prayer of repentance. When the younger son repented and returned, his father showed mercy and gave him all kinds of grace. David also became a saint by repenting. Nineveh came back to life through repentance. But life apart from God is only suffering and curses. There is no way away from God.
If we live comfortably in the present life, there will be no change in our faith. If I eat well and rest today, does it mean that I don't have to eat tomorrow? Tomorrow too, you have to eat and rest to survive. The grace so far has been God's entirely grace, but I believe that we must pray to continue to enjoy this grace in the future.
Dear all! We cannot live apart from the Word of God. You cannot live without the church. We cannot live apart from the grace of God. Seeing that we live apart from God, God cannot help us. There are many times when we do not realize God's grace even though we live by making full use of all that God has created. However, if you give thanks in everything and live according to His will, please believe that God will give you abundant grace and mercy.
Second, we must pray for the workers.
We need to pray more, especially for our leaders. Just as Moses sent for the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt, David to defeat Goliath from the Philistines, and Jonah for Nineveh, I believe that God sent me here although it is lacking for our church today. When the shepherd is sick, the loss is bound to be suffered by the sheep. Of course, it's not good for the shepherd himself either.
Just as Aaron and Hur were able to win the battle by raising the hand of Moses in the battle against Amalek, I hope that our members will cooperate and assist for me.
Actually, praying for the Lord's ministers is the same as praying for myself. Those who proclaim the Word are sick. I am at a loss for not hearing the word. We must not stop praying for the growth and revival of our church and the abundance of our souls, not just praying for the Lord's ministers for our own benefit.
Third, we must pray for the peace of the church.
Peace is a gift from God from above. Chan 469, “Peace, peace, descending from heaven, let the waves of love cover my soul forever.” Hallelujah! Only when we are embraced in the arms of the Lord, forgiven, and believe in him and receive him, can you give us peace of mind and peace of life. The evil enemy devil takes away our peace.
Even today, the forces of evil in our lives try to destroy all of our lives and knock us down. That is Satan. Satan is a destroyer, a dissenter, and a divider. It keeps separating me from God. This is Satan's specialty. It destroys character, destroys homes, destroys our souls. Who destroyed the Garden of Eden? Satan has destroyed it.
Where is the Garden of Eden? Heaven. Where is the Garden of Eden today? That is the Garden of Eden, the home, the church, and our hearts. My heart living with the Lord is the Garden of Eden. But when Satan enters, this peace is broken. A fight ensues between the couple. There are divisions in the church as well. That is why we need to pray even more. Please believe that we must become one with the bond of peace.
So, what kind of church is the church of peace? Is it a large church? Is the church in a good location? no. A peaceful church is a church with true fellowship of prayer. Is there a church that does not pray and is peaceful? There is no fellowship more beautiful than the fellowship of prayer among the saints. In this spiritual fellowship, faith grows together. No one loses. It's all beneficial. It is beneficial to yourself, others, and the church. Will you still neglect your prayers?
Fourth, what are the benefits of prayer?
You will be healthy and refreshed physically and mentally. Hallelujah! Human beings are destined to be happy when they are embraced by God and loved by him. What power is greater than love? Parents' love is something you will never forget, no matter how old you are. There is nothing happier than being loved. I am always happy when I think of the love of my parents. The reason I became like this is because of the grace that God sent my parents. Even if they sometimes scold, raise their rods and give their souls, the love of parents for their children still does not change.
It is said that there are many cases of children with all problems these days because they do not receive love from their parents. If we apply this spiritually once, we have no choice but to go the wrong way when we do not realize the grace of God. Therefore, human beings must receive God's love. Amazing grace is given when we are embraced in God's arms.
Prayer frees the bonds. You will receive the fullness of God's grace. You can hear the voice of God. It opens a closed mind. It brightens the dark mind. Above all, please believe in the fact that you can get the most precious thing that you cannot do with your own strength through this prayer.
Organize your words.
Now, God wants me and you to pray. He wants our dedication and service. It is not that God wants these things because we lack them, but that He is preparing to give us greater grace and blessings.
I bless you in the name of the Lord that we may all be renewed and become holy through the Word, hymns, and prayers at this time today. And I pray that you will receive special answers through a special early morning prayer for a week from tomorrow. I pray in the name of the Lord that the saints will receive the blessing of God's amazing answer to their earnest cry, remembering how much grace it is to pray when they can pray.
