Luke 1: 5-17
Since last week, the 2005 Daniel special early morning prayer meeting has been held. Many members are attending and praying together. What I am grateful for is that this year, Daniel's special early morning prayer meeting has already celebrated its 7th anniversary. Although we experience it every year, God pours out a lot of grace through this prayer meeting. He makes us spiritually born again. He helps us wrap up the year in prayer and prepare for the new year. This year, God chose Daniel's special early morning prayer meeting as the first worship service and prayer in the newly enlarged parish. And at the end of this special prayer period, all construction schedules were finished and the entire church was fully admitted through thanksgiving. Praise the God who guides everything. While I was expecting the words for Daniel's special early morning prayer meeting, God allowed me to come across the words of today's text at the last European meeting. Through the words of today's text, we would like to share the grace of God that comes to those who pray.
1. Prayer is the secret to an excellent life. (v.5-6)
“These two are righteous before God, without blemish in all Your commands and ordinances.
He did it without it.” (v.6)
2. Prayer is the key to solving our immediate problems. (v.7-12)
“Elizabeth was barren, so they were childless, and they were both old.” (v.7)
3. Prayer is a mystery from the ordinary to the extraordinary. (v.13-17)
“He also set the heart of Elijah to his children… a people whom he has made for the Lord.
I will prepare.” (v.17)
Zechariah and Elizabeth maintained their godliness in their lives through a life of prayer and their immediate problems were solved. Furthermore, as an answer to prayer, I had a son, and it was John the Baptist who prepared for the coming of Jesus and said that the woman was the greatest among those who were healed by Jesus. All of this is the grace and mystery that God pours out through prayer. Through this Daniel's special early morning prayer meeting, we pray that we will hold on to the line of prayer again and the grace of heaven and earth will be restored.
